6' Raptor VS. 6' Magnum??? HELP!!!

Ok, I have my tent set up, closed loop sealed system. I have a pair of 8' Epics that almost worked, but they are just way to big. There is simply no way to make it work with what I have in the tent.
I will be running eleven 7 gallon pots, Gorilla Glue #4.
So, should I go 6inch Magnums, or 6inch Raptors? Looking to keep the big footprint that I was going to get with the Epic. I need help quick, I pick up my clones today and only have about a week to get these hoods ordered and installed. The hydro store I go to said they could have them in a couple days. Thanks guys and gals.:tiphat:

P.S. I will not have be moving the hoods up and down, they will stay stationary the entire grow. I'll raise the pots for the first couple weeks, obviously I will also be doing a good amount of topping/cropping/training.

I have raptors and magnums in 6" and 8" and i havent noted any real diffence yield wise. Personally i feel the raptors are of better build quality, however thats just my opinion.

ps. "=inches and '=feet.

cheers

I new I had that backwards, thanks. I guess what I am wondering is, which one of the two will fit in my tent best? They are identical, but isn't one of them slightly shorter?

I use 2 6 inch xxxl magnums in a 4x8 tent.. .. non air cooled.. I run them so they overlap more and give me a better yield that way.. if they are air cooled the tents are setup to run them in a way that they give u a dead spot behind the bulb.. so u have to keep the reflector kind of tilted upwards and more on 1 side a little more as to spread that light evenly to maximize the yield.. playing with my tent I figure that out this second grow

I, personally would go and have went with the Blockbuster (3rd generation) have the original one as well. The 3rd gen seems to distribute and spread light superior to the original. Very Very good spread...

That is just what i'd do though...

if I was going to do it over.. in a tent. I would get smaller hoods.. they still produce a great footprint..

and if I was going to start from scratch I would run 3 600w lights per 4x8 tent. instead the 2 1000s..

Anybody have a link for accurate specs on the 6" Mags xxxl's and Raptors? I'm finding no less than 3 conflicting measurements online, every website has a slightly different spec sheet on these hoods, WTF?!?

dude I'm telling u . in a 4x8 tent.. u don't want magnums lol.. just because its a bigger hood doesn't mean better spread lol .

Guess I didn't specify, I'lm running 2 600's, picked up one 6" Blockbuster today on clearance for $120, snagging the other one tomorrow(Gotta drive an hour each way to pick it up). I'm loving this setup, I'll start a journal later this week/next week. Of course, my glue clones didn't come through, so I'm torn on either waiting for new ones or just running some genetics my homies have. I know the Blackberry Kush is a yielder, but it's not really my thing(I like gas/sours).
Still gotta go out and snag a couple co2 tanks, and a couple other odds and ends, but things are shaping up nicely and the system is begging to go to work. Thanks for all the replies everyone. If anyone has any links to some 4x8 Blockbuster threads feel free to post them in here.

Peace.

You made a good choice ST... I honestly don't think you could have made a better move buddy. Do you know if they are the generation 3 or not?

Gas and sours.... I love em too... if you can't obtain cuts i'd definitely go with CSG ojd's SSSDH or ECSDH. I am running both right now currently and out of two SSSDH's I have already found a full blown Sour Diesel pheno, it is only in week two of flower but I know a SD when I see/smell it. I can rub the stalk or squeeze the stem of the fan leaf gently and smell that sour diesel, basement moldy musk that makes me drool!

Any tips on where to find some good cuts, or reputable seeds with a high rate of quality phenos? I'm in the bay area and can get around most of central/northern CA. Also, anybody have recs for nutes? Looking to go with something simple but effective. I'll be using a coco based medium.
Fully closed loop/sealed tent system+Co2. I'll be running all GG#4 for my first round.
