Organize that space homie! I see 3 trays of clones and easily 8 BIG MOMMAS

Ive never done mothers. I probably should, but I have homies with backups of the clones if the shit hits the fan...
This single T5 has been feeding my entire flower room for the past month!
I have this crazy perpetual with a few going in every now and then.
There are 30+ plants in the tent right now including fresh cuttings and sprouts.
I just wish I could get them bigger before I flip them, but I never have the light hitting the floor in my flower room.
Im on my way to the hardware store now to get some inserts to raise that fan.
The other one is at max height because the AC is above it.
Probably going to have to add another wall fan.
Just had a second floor fan motor die from getting stuck on something

Yeh I've had my creeper clone since 1992 without a mom, jus a perpetual clone to clone arrangement keeps the flow always fresh bebe

I don't consider t5s a real vegg arrangement, jus a place to make roots. I get the girth stocky with the big lights for a few weeks before flowering holmes

I gotta work on getting the smaller ones closer to the light...
You let them get kinda big under the T5.
I don't keep them in pots under the T5 for very long (except the bubba) and top them when theyre still kinda small to keep them compact.
Just letting them get big on top of crates in the flower room.
If I were to veg in the flower room Id waste a lot of space a lot of the time.
My power bill is already out of control during the summer!
Even with TOU.
Im used to T8s homie!
Afraid to rock the bare bulbs dangling from the sky here in earthquake country.

Found something worth putting in my signature line

A quote from stoned40years:

Whats funny about that is hes calling H3ad and Rez clowns, yet hes been growing for what, 10 years, and looking for advice on base nutes.

But... Maybe this is sig worthy!

I'd NEVER,EVER add sea salt,or any salt,including mG salt (epsom's!) Ever.
Any nutrients worth their salt (pun, intended!) already have the trace amounts of iodine that a plant requires.
No trace elements in sea salt are more soluble,or accessible,
than trace element nutrient/additives that are specifically designed and sold for plant nutrition.
(If you bought this at a hydro store,as an additive,my first thoughts would be that AN has figured a way to sell salt-water,LMAO!)
What will happen,is that those plants will be IMPOSSIBLE to
flush properly, and will burn like shit. They'll look flushed, but
trust me-When push comes to shove, you'll wish you hadn't added salt.
That's my .000000000002,let us know how it sorted out for you.

Blumats are awesome but you don't really have much choice when going larger room setups, it seems to be very costly. I have actually set up an irrigation setup like sureshot and straightedge. I think its awesome but I don't think I prepared for the timed irrigation correctly. I had 2/3 of the room vegging a week longer than the other third and it shows in the flower room. The plants are the same size but the shorter vegged plants are not drinking nearly as much as the longer vegged ones. So its ultimately hard to dial in irrigation times that will give the dryer plants enough to stay moist where as the slow drinkers are getting like 50% runoff. I feel like I'm wasting too much, which I really am. I have to come in and hand water the ones that are dryer daily and it seems to defeat the purpose of the irrigation setup all together. I'm gonna give the irrigation another shot the next round and make sure to have the correct preveg to allow them to all be consistent to each other. I didn't have a chance to use smart pots in this room either which I think will help greatly with the feeding consistency.

Do you guys have any input on if I have multiple irrigation times a day, say about 3, and you only got runoff maybe 1 of those times; would that be sufficient? Would you get salt buildup if you essentially kept the coco moist but not necessarily have runoff at all and irrigate in that manner. Is that possible to go until the end without flush, obviously using a lower feed strength? Thanks guys!

As long as you don't end up with dry spots it should be fine.
You don't really need much runoff at all... ie blumats(no runoff)
Just enough to make sure they get wet.
I barely get any runoff 2x per day

Did you see FBN's trays?

I've been thinking about this same concept. I'm acutally getting better results in my room using 1.5x's 6/9 strength but I think I could be wasting more nutes than anything cause I'm shooting for 20% more or less runoff each watering. With that amount of runoff in mind, could that be the reason why I had to bump up feed strength? 1.5x's strength is about 2 EC for me for reference. I am using a lot of light and running high co2 levels and not sure if that is the only relevant factor of going stronger. Glad you and everyone else are a great resource and give some solid answers. Ive been growing for a while but I'd like the correct input from solid growers especially for coco since I'm still new at it. Must appreciative. :woohoo:

check your ph calibration
maybe your lights are too close?

Ph is spot on and pretty consistent and the lights could be a little closer than I want(height restricted). About within 2 ft with open bulb hoods. I have bubbas in another room and they responded very well to my stronger feeds. I've kept them at 2.0 and they look spot on healthy no tip burns and green. Those bubbas I have do get sufficient runoff since I'm doing daily hand feeds. Should I keep it low and go for little to no runoff?

I really think the runoff is making me feed stronger than I need to. I also want to mention that I was vegging some mothers out in the veg room and they were getting no co2 for a while and regular strength 6/9 and they stayed nice and healthy. I got off my lazy ass and replaced the propane tank and in the past week I've noticed the plants looking not exactly deficient but needing more once the co2 was in place. Nothing changed but the addition of co2, any thoughts on this. I'm thinking once I bump it up a little they will green back healthy. In gonna try and reduce runoff to a minimum or none at all and let's see if that helps.

That can be common when running c02. What are your c02 levels at? When you mix your nutrients, use the 6/9 ratio but use 10-20% less water than you normally do.

Also, you don't need 20% run-off. 5-10% is fine with 6/9 and many have run it with no run-off.

I actually just add the amount of water I want to mix and multiply the amounts of 6/9 for that amount of water and multiply by 1.5. I believe it comes up the same way. I'm getting roughly 2.0 EC or slightly lower with 50% increase in nutrient strength. I'm still mixing in sm and protekt at the same amounts. When I multiplied by 1.33 it came out to roughly 1.7/1.8 EC with the 6/9.

I am running 1500ppm co2 levels. I've kinda stuck to that basis since I started growing, sealed rooms of course. My veg ppm monitor by titan only leaves it at 1500ppm so I've pretty much stuck to that and I just follow suit in my flower rooms. I think 12k with a 12x16 footprint is is pretty lit up as well to make the plants want more. I do have another small 4k room full of bubba that like the increased feed strength as well. They literally greened up to my liking when I fed em stronger all in a couple days and I've stuck with it. It kind of makes me feel that I do need to push them more. Same thing is happening now in my veg room since I started enriching with co2 again, they look to be wanting more.
