yes i would...do you have a multi tap ballast...do any wires say 220v on them...did you follow the wireing instructions from the link?

couple more questions, ok its a 70 watt HPS bulb.
How far away should I keep it from the top of my plants?
and I am going to take my powerstrip with 4 compact flouros on it out and some how mount my HPS bulb in rubermaid thing, will have to get rid of the bottom cause of the heat. It won't melt it will it? Should I hang my light vertically down like a normal bulb or should I have it horizontal?

in that space hang the bulb how ever you want(if the bulb burns universal..vertical and horizontal)..on how close to plants...as close as you can get...i would say 6-8 inches...whats your ventilation like in your space...make sure you get it rite before putting the plants in there...i would mount the fixture to a piece of wood than mount it in the rubbermaid...again make sure everything is cool temps and heat problems where the bulb mounts before putting plants in there..peace
