I don't understand all the negativity that's been put up here...
His goal is 5lbs from 1000w...people cannot help be negative...its a fairy tale yield. Most average 1lb-2lb per 1k so to hear someone claiming they hit 4lb shooting for 5 can rustle some feathers.
I personally think this number is dreaming/embellished/inaccurate measuring/whatever..., but at least the op is humble and posting some good info. Because of this attitude I have no problem pulling up a chair and waiting to be proved wrong.. regardless of the goal the experience/knowledge is helpful.
aero,
I've heard that its best to spray during the dark because water droplets can act as magnifying lens and burn the leaves. I've never seen this happen, but I've heard it for years.
I have heard however that the plants' stomata are the most open around 1hr after the lights have came on and that this is the most ideal time to foliar spray.
Any thoughts. Have you experimented with spraying shortly after lights on. Before room has reached full temp..but things dry up fast so mold/rot is unlikely.
My experience (little) with liquid light is the same.. too much can cause instant twisting /curling, but cut back a hair makes the plants the most perky I've ever seen them. All of the leaves will be vertical towards the light.
