So heres more of the story....

Out here the chopper issue is touchy. As expected, different people have different oppinions.. But basicly it comes down to,,, "Not getting a fly over". Due to the desert landscape there is little to hide behind, so basicly if you get a flyover by the MJ task force, yer fucked..(if doing numbers)..They would have you in a second. Like I said in Vol 1,,,,Its all about planting where the choppers hopefully dont go. Typicaly they go where they found MJ before...an there stupid in the fact that they report the counties that they found MJ growing in...Fuckin boasting about there actions on the news an such....So I make educated guesses where they roam. Some years no choppers even go up. Or at least no grape vine storys, and no news reports..Others, it can get bad, This being an election year,,,I donno..

My large plot is a fuckin chopper magnet...Im not gonna lie. But considering the area ,,its not nearly as bad as it look's,,,,I promise. I would never plant in straight lines in any other situation.....This plot is my favorite,...it has ~325 seedlings. They are The Northernlights x Trainwerck x Afgani,,,, an the Sensi Star X Afgani. I rerouted a small spring into ~ 400 feet of garden hose , then into a grid of soaker hose...Its like a minature corn field.....Ill let the pictures do the talking....(went in at night ,sorry bout the shitty pictures)

Large seedling plot.

..............................................................................................

Here's a recent shot of the high matenance plot...Night flicks again,,,,sorry yall, saftey first.

That big one in the back is the Afgani#1...Very vigorous strain..Think that one is ~6feet tall.
...............................................................................

Wealcome to the desert my friends!...

Looking excellent Fastpine...

This is my first time stopping through your thread... I'm impressed. That irrigation system looks to be a mega timesaver :respect:

Does that freak you out breaking your cover by using flash at night?

Just read vol 1 and up to date on this one,i have to say man you really go to some lenghts to grow the green...I would love to grow on that scale, but having the time and resource's to do so is out of my league...Happy just to be reading about your adventures in the trade...All major growers should one day submit there most hair raising stories with growing the ganj, great to read real life tales of growers hiding in bushes and such from cops to hikers to paranoia.Keep on trucking man...A question..fastpine..You say that you stop in desert for a few weeks guarding plots and such..is this from theives?and being in the us do you have weapons with you?hope this is'nt an offensive question,i only ask because i have often wondered when reading these stories about you and others growing outside, what would you do on catching said people?most people would give the obvious answer and say 'kick his head in or blow them away'.I have read on ic.mag that one guy has shot somebody for stealing his weed..do we really need to take things this far?and goodluck with this one man

I am so psyched!!! I followed last years grow as it was happening, I would check back every day to see if you updated it! The amount of time/effort/and thought that goes into your grows is awesome. Keep it up!

Damn bro, those are some monsters! I hear you about saying to hell with the 9-5. Life is too short.

here is a pic of one of my spots. Put out 13 clones here and should have only put about half that. Didnt realize how big they would get under the sun. Walked about 8 50lb bags of soil to this spot. About a mile into the woods..jesus

Got another plot with about 24 or so. After hunting season im gonna do a 50 plant grow of some 3 foot clones. Gotta love being able to grow year round here! :rasta:

take care and best of luck to ya...

and indoor. Hope i dont have to do this crap much longer... :jump:

We don't really ever see choppers on the Dulce side of the San Juans but back on the wagonmound area eastern slope they're banging round all sept.it usually looks like they're on a weekend trip drinking beer in the sky. They've come right over my open plots with me crouched in a bush and they missed me and 50 , 50gal holes. How lovely!Best of luck, Lilly. :bashhead: :jump:

Wow, just saw your update with the pictures. Ha ha, You are a real farmer.... just look at that picture of the seedling plot. Truly an inspiration. And aside from that, to just have the opportunity to spend time in the wilderness. You are so lucky. Keep on !

Gets better every year. So 400ft of garden hose then to soaker hose. I enlarged that picture too see it and it was f***ing awesome.

Doesn’t it take a good amount of time and pressure to use soaker hose?

I am guessing you have some really good elevation changes to get the pressure you need or are you using your gas powered pump.

Beautiful pics and country FP.

Trichosourus: I donno if its that .....It may be that I am willing to go to extrems to axoid having a boss, ya know..Thanks for the coments man..

GreenLeaf420:...:biglaugh:....Yeah, the no land lord thingis nice,,,but , if ya think about it,,the forrest rangers are kinda like a land lord...I actually have a veg center,,,The land lord seems ok...I pay rent early, two months at a time, so the guy likes me.....He think's im renting the space for "storage", and a art studio....Has a the capability to run outrageous ammounts of power..Did a winter indoor there. 8Kw....Should put up flicks of that..:chin:..
Fuckin place is over run with spider mites at the moment..

Tracerdancer:...thanks man,,I appreciate it. The spot is so remote that the flash light and camera flash dont really matter. Totally different story though when painting trains in the city though...

Blaken: Much appreciated my man..

Bingobango:..Yes, the extended stay in the forrest is normaly to keep thieves away, and yes, depending on the situation, there may be weapons involved....But they are never intended for use on thieves ..I just never go for long camping trips in the woods without a weapon..If I caught a thief, It would most likely be fists not guns....so..That's not to say that the heat isnt close by if needed. .........Last year we stayed in the hills for almost a month, living out of the back of my truck, and eating ramen an tortillas. That was mainly to harvest though.....Overall Im pretty non violent, If confronted with someone walking up on a plot that could yield heavy( given they havent seen it yet), I would do some weird shit, like strip naked and walk up on them talking jibberish or some shit, or maby slap on a jim hat and be like ""dude I was tryin to nail my girlfriend back here,,,,little privacy plese?""....Chances are good they would turn around and get the hell out...Any of that weird ,off the wall shit is better than pulling guns or having to tie someone up.

Golden Cloud:...Thanks for the support,,,,Stay tuned my friend,,Its will hopefully get real good here soon. Most of my stuff has started blooming. Everything except the AFI#1..

The black russian:..I feel ya dude...The indoor is more out of nescessity than anything else.....The OD is where the real fun is to be had...

Lilly:...Good eye friend..So you see em all the way into September?.....I thought it was just a late aug?.....Honestly, up there, I think it has alot to do with weather yer in Colorado, or New Mexico..Southern Colorado gets a little more pressure than Nor New Mexico....Just the other day my mom was telling me that she spoke to a chopper pilot from Trinidad,,,He made it sound like it was fuckin California. Made my moms all worried for me........Say, I have a question for ya Lil,,,,What if you planted round 9000ft, think it would be moist enough up there to work(totaly low matenance)?....Figured since it rains soo damn much up at those altitudes, ya know.....

Feel free to post up any photos here if ya want my desert dewlling friend!

Caligreen: I was hoping you would stop by,,,welcome to vol2 my man!....Thanks for the prayers, I need em.

daggaboy:...Thanks alot. Yeah, Being in the woods once or twice a week is the best part of the whole gig.

Hamstring:....Its so simple an so effective. So yeah, I did the math and I needed 30 feet of head(elevation) to get the desired PSI(which is really low with soaker hose) only 10-15 PSI. The spring is so overgrown that I had to lead the water down and away from the fall line of the water. It was perfect, I brought in just enough hose to lead right into that nice clearing..It was fate I tell you,,:biglaugh:...Still taking heavy losses at the seed plots. Was at that plot last night and it looks like the waves of bugs have stopped, but I lost about 100 more,,,,so only 200 left at that spot.

icon: grab a seat My man!,,,I appreciate the nice words....

...................................................................................

Seed plot #2.

annnnnnn, this is how you find out the hard way that Jamaican Pearl doesent like alot of nutes..
.....:biglaugh:....aaaaahhhwelll..should set back 6-7 out of the big ones...
