looks like youre in trouble with the chocolope kush. it looks like it went into early flower and is going into reveg. itll still flower out but ive seen that cause herming so just watch it like a hawk. id hate to seed it bust lil nuts on the crop. itll stall out and make a lios main of regrowth and go ruight back into flower as its late in the year at this point so it will be a little crazy and popcorny.

cant win em all. thats an awesome looking grow.
impessive health and vigor. nice work. if the plants take a dive you can get a buddy and pull that trellis to some posts.

No plant is going to reveg this late LMAO. Almost all the plants have started to flower so I dont think you know what you're talking about..
Hermy conditions are usually brought by stress and light irregularity and a early flowering pheno has nothing to do with hermy traits.

i may be wrong but i do know what im talking about. ive seen it happen alot. what i thought was going on and maybe was wrong about was a plant going early flower going back into veg just at the cusp of when its time to flower again. mid may flipping but not able to pull back out til end of june. by the end of july they kind of start to have a blown out bud look and then go back into flower. its not pretty and ive seen it happen a bunch and in a few cases saw those plants herm. sorry if it didnt fit this situation. you are right that early flowering varieties do not lean towards hermie traits, its not what i meant. its the stress of flower initiation, stall, and reveg then reflower that would cause the stress necessary to induce hermies. if that is not the case here then so be it. i may be wrong. its what it looks like to me based on thousands of outdoor plants ive grown. i may be confident that i know what i am talking about but i am not under the impression that im never wrong. it was an off the cuff diagnosis of screwy looking growth. your place and your plants look super nice btw.
peace

i wasnt saying it was going to. i meant it already had and is in limbo going back into flower. it happens to early flowering plants too.around july its flowering and pulls out for a hot minute never really getting to grow out much veg type growth before it flowers again. creates a strange bud form. maybe thats not what that is but it sure looks like it.

they look fine. I have a few early varieties that look the same. I wish all my plants were as far along flowering lol

I agree with backyardfarmer about the tpost. The worst is when you have to build the shit after the fact.

why not just make sure the plants are ready for whatever is thrown at them, before.it is thrown at them?

I like those beds...would be cool to have some redwood beds like that

Do you get good sun? Garden looks nice and healthy but Im suprised they arent a lot bigger with those beds.

^ It would be nice if they got more direct sun. They get about 8 hours of direct sun but these huge ol doug fir's and ponderosa trees give a lot of unwanted shade in this spot.

I wanted to make redwood beds at first until I calculated the cost and there was no way I could do it on my budget. it would have been really sweet tho

Those are some big trees close by in your pics. I logged a section of my property and then had and arborist buddy top all the trees close to my garden. Looks good though man. Proper clean and professional looking set up. Im a fan of wooden beds.

You should go get some of those 2x2 inch by 8 foot long wood molding studs and make a cube shaped frame. Attach one in every corner of every box and attach those along the top. Than you can just staple the netting to the cube frame for good support. It is something to think about for next year. It would be easy with those nice boxes to attach them to and be relatively inexpensive. If they get bigger than that frame you can always just throw more netting over them but they will have that support still. Also concrete remesh tomato cages on the inside would be good solid support in addition to the trellis frames. It would all look super clean too.

yeah the cube shaped trellis frame is going to be the best solution in the long run. they are caged on the inside but out grow it quick.

CALIFORNIA GROWERS need to be aware of proposed Ca bill SB1262 This proposed bill must die before it makes it any further. SB1262 takes away our way of life, our prop 215 rights as medical patients and turns us into criminals. It would fuck over every mom & pop grower and make turn us into criminals by New years day 1/1/15. NORCAL cant let this happen !!

Here is quick video about SB1262 and also another link with more info.
