I've been using LED since 2010 and for my growing situation they work perfect. Into my 3rd set now, just bought the Spider Farmer SF-4000. Seems to give good coverage for my 39"x39"x60" tent. LED seems to be improving over time with better components.

I am running 2 cmh hid bulbs and the rest is led. I find in my colder climate i need that little extra heat to keep my vpd in balance.

I had to look up VPD, didn't know what it stood for. There you go, I'm on a learning curve.
I don't know if doing a search automatically connects the page your on but everything that came up had to do with VPD and cannabis.
I do see from my own small outdoor weather station the connection between heat and humidity. I live in a semi arid environment.

In my tent I have a hard time keeping the humidity up during veg because the exhaust fan is constantly running and sucking out the humidity. It is my understanding that higher humidity is important during veg.

Lights have been off for almost 6 hours and still have steady temps and vpd. I'd say I just about have things dialed in again. Just a few minor tweaks to go and I'll be satisfied.

It's crucial for the uptake of nutrients, especially in veg when they are growing fast. Flower when things slow down we lower or humidity which raises our vpd and focuses on resin production. It's all crucial timing and knowledge, especially with living soils.

I think i‘m using similar ac gear. Do you run the humi non stop or just during lights on?
Best of goings
I run the humidifier with the lights on and I have a backup humidifier that runs when my threshold is close and my ac infinity humidifier is out of water. That way I have a small grace period to refill both. The backup is a whole house humidifier from Walmart with a fake wood veneer finish and holds about the same amount of water in a reservoir.

Ah i see! I‘ve been running mine non stop for a while and today switched to lights on only but a bit worried about the drastic change from around 60% with humidifier to around 30% without… i know it should not matter when photosynthesis is not happening but still feels like a large difference…

I try to keep mine at about 50% minimum because it's about 2°f outside now and very dry air from my woodstove don't take long and I will be down to 18% humidity and I can't imagine they respond well to that drastic of a change lol. I've done it but I've noticed this time of year without added heat and humidity my plants slow down drastically

You got some new healthy growth going on, they are ready for action. Do you have your eye on any one in particular?
I have my eyes on the blueberry cheese, Acapulco Gold, and blue sunset sherbert. But the 420 fastbuds photoperiods I'm also interested in. Papaya sherbert, gorilla melon and rainbow melon. Those 3 are fastbuds newest limited edition lineups of photoperiods which is unusual for an autoflower company. Curious to see how they turn out. Excited for a new selection of flavors too.

That's news to me as well, didn't know Fastbuds was into photoperiod plants. Out of curiosity I will check out their website.
