My fan is 580 m3/h, but Leds run cooler than HID. Actually am not sure that read my temp correctly. I put my thermomether directly under radiant heat and temp there is 75°F, 80°F one inch under the hood with oscillating fan blow thermometer and extractor in low speed. Is this temp reading is correct?

Hi, plants grow very well and temp is stable around 75F with light on. 20 days under CFL and now 5 days under MH bulb. But upper leaves tips start to turn yellow. Bulb 12 inch from tops.
No nutes only tap water. Ph 6.5. Problem start after good watering with run off, first run off.

Just to throw this out there with fan speeds and the cfm of the filters. You need .3 cfm to remove heat only.....600w hps x.3cfm = 180cfm carbon filter or more.

So 600 watt hps is 180 cfm for heat and then the other 160 cfm is to remove smell with yours being 340 cfm filter. You can control the smell then.

Hi TNTBudSticer 0.3 cfm with air cooled hood or open reflector?

It's a safety ballpark figure because with an Air-cooled hood even you can get the tops too close and burn them..Why ? It's the heat.

With air-cooled hood, one can go down lower around .05 cfm.Still have to cool the room or box...You would need at least 50 cfm for the Filters to really scrub the room of heat...Can go higher to 500cfm for the stinkier plants.

So a fast fan with lots of CFM in Filters and one doesn't have to worry about heat.It should feel cool in the box or room since alot of air is moving into the filters and out smelling fresh like carbon.

Get a fast fan 400 cfm/600 cfm in filters or get a Air-cooled hood ? I go for the Fan since the Lights can heat a room in the winter :)

Better way is to grow not a stinky plant. Then one can dial to 275 cfm fan speed and taking out one of the filters and now you have 375cfm and store the other filters for later use.If heat is not a factor.

Very nice! plants looking healthy. So green when the lights go on then it fills out to the normal color.Cool!

Ok, i want to add a few notes about setup. I noticed that the temp stay 5°F over ambient with light on and extractor on low speed 240 cfm. The light are off from 12 pm to 6 pm when is the hottest time of the day, and almost no temp difference between day and night cycle.
Today was a very hot day and afternoon tepm was 77 °F with light off. After midnight when light is on temp is 73°F 75°F. Is this a issue?

Plants prefer slightly cooler temps at lights off especially during flower, goodluck
