And clarification of the contest rules... this contest was open to everyone!!! No one was to be excluded, even Gypsy... read the rules...

And I do apologize for extending the deadline, but I had two requests to keep the competition open, and I did... and until Midnight tonight I'll accept entries.

Trichomefarmer is right, and I do apologize to all for having to ask you to judge even more entries... but this is it, and I respect everyone who entered, and the judges for all their help...

well i guess that makes it a late night, as i have to go to the airport in the morning.
concerning rules hahmmmm: "Open to anyone attending or not, pros, wannabes, and newbies. Members of staff of the magazine and the photo contest judges may not enter"...
Does this mean Gypsy isn't staff of his own magazine???
are Wally and BOG considered staff or guest writers???

Although nothing in terms of my favorites has changed.
Dutchgrown if your entering those shots for Jorge,please move them to the appropriate gallery.
anyone else entering in the next 3 hours please put them in the 420 photo contest gallery.

Wow....TF, you must really need to get here and get stoned!

Just one correction though.....the first pic was identified by me wrong, it was taken by Gypsy, the Swt #3 seeded, therefore the only entries I meant to make was for Jorge Cervantes, so that would be pic #2 and 3 which have been transferred to the appropriate 420 photo forum......thanks TF, and will see you all tomorrow!:D

OK, I've selected my 4 finalists now. :)

Photos of them should be posted up at the IC420 within the next day or so. I'll try to also post them up here too.

The judges will then pick the 4 winners.

It was really difficult to select a few from so many great photos! I first narrowed it down to 20 but it was really hard to select from those, since they were all excellent!

My criteria for judging might be different from others. Remember we're judging the overall photo, not just the plants/objects in them. So for me, photos must be in focus, well composed, good exposure, and of course with an interesting subject. I was looking for images that represent the more unusual aspects of cannabis. I like striking images that draw you in and make you drool... ;)

Can't wait to get down to the event!

If I'm not mistaken....I believe it was Hashmaster-Kut with the trichome shot in first place....then there was another one that he won as well...there was so much cheering, clapping, and oooohing and aaaahing as the pics were shown...but think the pic I really liked.....the one that looked like spun sugar....think it won something as well....I definitely recall payaso saying there were two winning photos from the same photographer and that photographer is Hashmaster-Kut:D

Sorry I can't be more help.....but it's been one heck of a party here and I'm suffering from 420 short term memory loss...seriously, payaso will post the winners in their exact order so there will be no guessing for ya's;)

I must say the pics were all quite remarkable, there's alot of talented photographers out there! And with some awefully nice subjects as well:D

I thought BOG, Wally and Dutchgrown were members or staff of ICMAG. Deadline for the picture contest was clearly set on 10th April 2004, by Gypsy!

I would think Hashmaster will get only one award as stated in the rules. We had no control over the voting process and THAT is why some people won twice. Indeed every judge selected at least one of hashmaster's images (most two).

Better we should just ignore the vote winners? Perhaps next time we'll only allow ONE image from everyone, then only one could win.

BTW, at least one person pointed out that the oil was not a "natural" product and didn't think it should be competing against the natural weed & hash images.

It was very difficult to decide the photo contest. We didn't know until almost the last minute who the winners were, so when faced with double winners we just went with the chosen rather than have to redo the judging (i think it was a similar situation with the cannabis judging).

BOG & WallyDuck have nothing to do with ICMag. Dutchgrown works for Gypsy, but not on the mag itself. She didn't enter any photos of her own anyway (she just posted up images for someone else), so I don't get why your even mentioning her.
