No one staying for Queen's day??
A big thank you to all the judges.....that was alot of great smoke to cram in three days!! Thanks to everyone for the compliments!! I am extremely honored to have recieved 2nd place!! by the looks of the numbers it was very close......congrats to all other winners!!!
Thanks to DG, Gypsy, OP.....and all the others running around getting stuff organized!!.....and cramming 900 dime bags full!!!!
My biggest memory was being able to meet and sit and smoke with Soma and his wife. I was in the presence and smoked with a legend!!......bought a 5 gram bag of his personal Amnesia Haze.....smoked a fat joint with him and learned a few new tricks!!
I can personally tell you..... I smoked ECSD....Jacks Cleaner and many of the other testers......but by far the best smoke was ...Amnesia Haze....and to smoke and talk with Soma was one of my best experiences in life!!

I'm a little confused HOG on this second place you claim.....????.....there was a 1st place ECSD, a 2nd place ECSD....and a third place which you were given...am I missing something????

Hi Dutch....I think its tongue in cheek, as two ECSD's took 1st and 2nd place. That's what I gathered from another post of his :wink:
HOG, its not the strains that place or win in the Growers categories...it's the grower! So you are 3rd, unless you are Smokey's siamese twin (but I don't think so from the looks of the two of you :wink

I don't know the scores yet either but my bud was no slouch and some judges really liked it. The truth is that the breeders division was pretty tough competition and the third place Sensi Star by Paradise Seeds was not such a bad bud to end up behind. I loved it and my sour bubble while tight and potent isn't as tastey as the winners to be truthful.
I have a pic or two of some like it in the Dam we smoked and it was well received. No doubt about its tightness either. But, Look at the Sensi Star before you start thinking I was robbed.
I wasn't. This deserved at least third and DNA's Cantelope Haze was even better tasting too. There was some good bud in the Dam and I was so pleased by REZDOGs placing with his ECSD. Smokey and Jimmy and HOG and my friends from DNA all did so well. So congrats to them and here is the Sensi Star First.
BTW, I spoke and released my book and had a wonderful time! BOG

BOG you are a very humble gent and your bud did you no disservice, i am sure that it was a lot down high than the stone when it came to judgeing and you have always said the sour bubble is about tighness and potency of the couchlock variety and i am sure had peeps been better able to judge potency it would have stood out.
I think in general this was the year of the sativa, seems the growers choice at the mo and i can now clearly see why.

All the smoke was great, and it was very difficult to decide. It is hard to judge ECSD along with Amnezia Haze. Two totally different smokes, its more of a personal opinion, as both are as good as it gets, IMO. Many of the entries were all very close in taste, apperance, and quality, all real good. It was real hard to decide. I am an indica fan, so relished in judging those, but the true sativa lovers were out in droves.....smoking,judging those sativa's. It was not easy, but the winners get big props from me......there herb rose to the top in a room full of stallions, not a bad entry in the bunch.
My throat is a little rough(3 packs of zig-zag whites in 4 days) but am quite pleased the way the trip went. Great people, great city, great herb, but with so many so stoned, lighters kept getting lost and misplaced and left.....go wonder?

Wondering.... Soma is actually smoking??? Wow... I'll vap plenty.... but after a aeortic valve replacement, the value of life increased for me and doc said "wanna be back here soon, just light up".
You bet he is smoking and he tried a toke off my sour bubble joint and told me his heart is all fixed. BOG

Geting to smoke A.Haze right out of Somas pocket was a real treat - the man was sharp & very kind - after a long group Q & A session where I drilled him for tips - he came over & huged me calling me by name (after several hours since first my meeting) & telling me how much he loved to talk about Cannabis & said "thanks for the great questions" - that was a real treat & honor.

We will meet again & looking at the standings - I still think U did great & are a credit to the Cannabis breeders of the world & IC mag. - Ur Sour Bubble is a very unique strain & will hold it's own against ANY Indica in the world & faced some heavy comp. - every one commented how good it tasted & it is a strong ONE hit Indica cannabis & I want to grow some soon. Your book is great & you need to put them up on Seedbay as IP's

ZEP - LOL - I had a pad & was writng it all down & lost it on the second day -someone told me - "That's progress"

Well Zepp....here's a bit of info on this, per Soma....since he does have a prescription for medical cannabis consumption in NL, seems as though when he went to the hospital they were told of his 'medicine' and had to give him a room with a balcony just so he could smoke the herb and not break hospital fire regulations. His favorite was bubble hash to toke in the hospital cause that meant that he could just reach for his pipe and take a couple of hits in his hospital room before the nurses showed up to tell him he'd have to toke up on the balcony.
