I see that you wired your igniter near the lamp.

Does the lamp flicker a few times and then start up or does it flick and light up on the first strike?

Curious because I've seen a 400w on a 10' cord that flickered 3-4 times before starting, wondered if that lamp would do better for them if the ignitor was closer. :D

Looking great in there! Jealous ;)

hi Hydro-Soil, thanks.
the lamp flick and light up on the first strike.
i did this because my cord is a bit long and sometimes the igniter couldnt start the light.
working good since.

Thanks for that.

I'll bring it up with the grower and see if they're interested in adding the wiring. LOL I know it'll save lamps over time, just wasn't sure if it was worth bringing up.

so, here they are, day 52 since the flip.
i have 3 phenos, 2 of them are very frosty and one didnt catched up yet.

from my experiance, the plants have about two weeks to harvest.
i wonder what will be the yield.
since i know that the SLH isnt a great producer and this is my first (but not last) vertical i will be happy with 200-250 G (9 oz )

thanks for watching.

everything ive seen on SLH suggests taking it out longer. im sitting at 73 days with about 10% amber. gonna do 11 weeks minimum. the buds looked done earlier, but the tric's were still mostly clear. ive had some cut early and it was heady bordering on unpleasant... especially if this is head stash, u may consider letting it go long...

i've cut it from 8-11 weeks and i must agree 11 is a much more complex developed stone and way better flavor. .....It looks done at 8-9 weeks until you put a loop on it.

Excellent job, jungo. I ran some slh last year and it was a real treat. Wish it would yield better, but that's my only real complaint about this variety.

chopped mine at 11 weeks. it is damn awesome and yielded out nicely, got 4oz each off good plants. from week 9 to 11, they added some weight as well. your look good

i thought about 9 weeks but you guys make me wonder if i should take it longer.
we all know that they add alot of weight in the final stages but i dont want to go too far, the point in this round was to get some energetic high.
how many amber trichs did you get in 11 weeks ??

20-40% ish. from top view with loop looked like 20%, but side view looked closer to 40%. i didnt cut off sample piece to remove and inspect, so was hard to get good view. is still a very energetic high!!! my favorite day time smoke to date

so, we need to sum things up here.

this was my first vertical attempt, for me, thats the way to do it.

as for yeild, the buds are in jars and now that they are curing i can say that i got somthing like 250G of nice SLH buds.

the SLH strain is not a great producer and i only took it to 68 days, i guess i could have yeilded more but then again, good result for me.

the smoke is really great, i love it.
the high is mainly in the head and very energetic.
i can smoke it all day long.

that was a great round for me, ill wait untill next year to try it again.
thanks for watching.

i grow SLH too and I find between 9 and 11 is when it really puts on the weight and hardens up. It's definitely worth the added time
