400w HPS DR80 Air Pot grow!

is the humidity prob the reason you havent run a DWC yet? I got all my gear now and was thinking of running a 6 pot DWC in one 15-20 gal tub in the dr80. You think Id have humidity probs in our tentwith soething like that?

If so Id just go with either a coco or real light soil mix, in a tray

Well TheRealDeal is a friend of mine and he said having the res in his tent caused him all kinds of humidity problems and had to buy another inline fan just to deal with it.. so yea I'm not sure how bad it would be for us in our lil tents cuz he's in a bigger one with 2k HPS lights

Yeah it probly a little diff with two 50 gal reses in there. plus with my space issues the lids wouldnt fit on them so I know that made a huge difference. and I think the extra fan for intake hurt more than helped. (think it brought in wetter air) (the weather). And btw ive never had to use an intake fan. my fan that expells the air was always strong enough to bring in enough fresh air from the pressure. im sure with the proper care smaller reses can go in the tent? maybe

Thundurkel-Your buds are looking fabulous as usual! I am a former Micro lurker and was surprised to see your somewhat recent move up to HID, but none the less thrilled!
I remember checking Icmag a while back and reading all about cfl's and compact SOG's, in fact you were one of my original inspirations to grow the cannabis plant.

I can't help but notice a similar taste in music as well!

That's awesome Holy glad I gave you the urge to get growing cuz I haven't stopped since I started!!! Got quite the strain collection going on too and became a tester as you can see haha I love IC.. As for Slayer they are cool but to be honest I don't listen to them but I do love Pantera and they were both my dead buddy's so that's why I have em both up.. sorry if I ruined it for ya haha

Yea I think what I'm going to do this next run is use my 18gal Rubbermaid tub for a rez and have my Air Pots sitting in 10x20" trays with drippers but I need to figure some things out cuz I don't want to have humidity problems with standing water in trays in the tent so I need to figure a way to get it recirculating or drain to waste but in a way that drains that water through a hose going outside the tent into a Rubbermaid on wheels OR!! Just thought this a Ice Chest with wheels! That could would and just dump it daily ... I know the mix of nutes I use don't clog lines cuz they are like GH 3part pretty much and my mix is for drain to waste I don't know how it will do in a recirculating system if I do all that I may have to just switch to H&G nutes but I love CES so far...

Thundurkel, I am going on a little smaller scale, but I am currently growing in Air-Pots with anOasis Indoor Automatic Drip Watering system.

With a little time, I believe one could get a system dialed in using this in conjunction with Soil and Air-Pots and not have to worry about drains and/or overflow from the pots.

Possibly think about lining the bottom of your tent/below the plants with a chamois cloth. The Sham-Wow could have a new purpose.

Well I cut down the Oregon Grape bagseed at 8weeks cuz I needed buds to smoke and I should've took it 9-10 but oh well.. I got 1oz and a 1/4 off it and then the Blueberry and Double Purple Blowfish are getting the axe on either Saturday or I may just cut the lights on Saturday and leave em in the dark till Monday and chop em then...

cut em down this morning at 65 days of flowering today wouldve been 66 but I lost a 1/4 or so to bud rot!!! My Blueberry didn't really yield well at all which is my fault having it started a week behind everything else cuz I was expecting it to be a hermi but I got lucky and it was the good cut my buddy had. So we'll see what I end up with I'm gonna say a few zips total LOL I got my next round already in the tent vegging right now and I have 3 Sugar Cane Kush's 2 I know are female I'm waiting on the other which might be another male which will suck but oh well and then I have 2 Magic Merlin's and a Gorilla Grape in there and I'm vegging the fuck outta this round I'm not flipping till my girls are 14"-16" tall

cant wait to see somenice harvest pics! any guestimate of what your final yeild is goin to be when all is dried? sorry to hear bout the loss from bud rot. how tall were most of your plants when you flipped the lights this last round? I should go back and find it, but anyways.....Keep up the awesome grows man, your grows are always an inspiration to me.

Im running a very similar op, but making it perpetual, trying to 9 plants under my 400watt with all plants having 4-8 tops or more. I might have to cut back to 7 or 8 plants depending on how the first couple yeild in the coming weeks. sorry to ramble bout myself, keep it green!

The prettiest pics (the potm you seek so badly) usually comes from end of flowering/pre-harvest/harvest shots and you keep seeming to miss these opportunities due to 'no batteries/no money'

Buy some rechargeable batteries and be done with it.

Thunder how many plants did you have this last round? I ran 3 plants under my 400 in #2's and got 4.5 zips while harvesting a week early due to nanners poppin up. I could've and should've pulled more so I feel for you! I flipped my cuts when they were about 10'' tall, but vegged for about 20 days uner 100watts of CFL's. That was then this is now!!!

I vegged my 5 new girls for a week in 1 gallon net bottoms to get the roots going and then transplanted into #3 SP's this past monday. DUDE! this morning after being in the #3's and under the 600 for the last 2 days (18/6), Ive got a couple of fan leaves as big as my hand already!! OH YEAH!!!! Im going to let them go untill friday morning when I have to water again.

Ill hit them with one last dose of Open Sesame along with my normal FF feeding and flip to 12's! MAN these girls EXPLODED overnight!! Incredible!!

Yea I'm doing everything different this time! I'm also pretty stoked I may have a job at a hydro shop pretty soon which would just be PERFECT!!!!! But yea this time they are vegging on 18/6 and light's come on at 7pm instead of 11am so my temps can be cooler and bill cheaper lol Also a lot of my friends veg and flower all the way through with 600 and 1000w HPS Hortilux and Solarmax with GREAT results. I got a 400w Plantmax as some of you know and looking at the spectrum chart it's VERY close to a Hortilux but has more in the 700-800 range of nm...
