well i'm way over due for a update and the crammed screen needed attention. so tonight i did about a hour of trimming to get everything tip top. and i took some pic's!

my thoughts on cmh....
for this situation i see no other bulb that would work. the cmh made the tightest nodes out of any bulb i have used in the past, not to mention the insane early growth. i still got some stretch but thats all genetic, i've ran her a few times now. temp wise nothing HID comes close(<~thats all i need to say about that). my next run will show what the bulb can do in the weight department.
right now they are filling up like crazy! this is one week on koolbloom and what a difference it made. looks like i'm gonna have some rock hard nugs just in time for summer.

omg STKE i havent been online in abit, but damn, they grew fast!!! and looks crystaly, Will there be buds pretty much all over? or just in spots?

thanks for stopping back by. the pictures i took don't do it justice. in 12 days it'll get the chop. i'll hang it from the door and we can see how full it'll be. the pics i took are small segments of the screen. only like 9" of space in there to position the camera. there is plenty of bud in there. it honestly looks really packed in person. i've been moving branches around to get even light coverage on the bud sites and i think it'll help my yield a little. i'll find out soon.

sup guys! dang i have been slacking. been a busy few weeks but the ladies are doing great! going on the last few days of week 8. most of the screen looks pretty good from what i can see, which isn't much. i've tried taking pics but it's jammed packed in that bitch and the camera doesn't focus. they are coming down in a few days so i'll be able to take plenty of pics. flushing with sweet for 3 more days, did clearex for 1 day. and will hit them on the last day with more clearex. got some fox tails going on, and i'm sure it's temp as the cola's with them are directly in front of the light.

so tonight they got the chop, earlier than i had expected but they were ready IMO(~30% amber). only did a 3 day flush but the test bowl burnt to a nice light ash. not the best pull, overgrown like a mofo but a learning process non the less. next time the training will stay behind the net till after stretch is done, then trim everything leaving only the very tip(like a regular scrog). i feel this will help in making the best possible yield.
IMO cmh lighting is the best during veg and early flower, but from taking a closer look at the finished product i will say that i feel HPS is the winner for fuller better looking cola's. i'm debating on running both for the dual spectrum in my next cab. the cola's are nice tight clusters but not full and fat like usual(enough runs with her to know exactly what she looks like under HPS). i did notice that the plants have finished faster than ever before. they always come down right at 8 weeks mostly cloudy, but this time they are much more mature. i'll give my final opinion after it's all dried and cured.
on a side note, i just enjoyed a nice chunk of purple scissor hash. i'll try to get some pics of the trich's tomorrow, i just spent the past 8 hours trimming. lots of hash to come, cause someone didn't trim...
look at the top where is was in the dark(lime green~white).
time for a new cab!!!!!!!

i'll post some harvest weights when it's all dried and cured. i don't wanna jump the gun and give a estimate, the growth with the CMH was very different than HPS. it's not what i was hoping for, to tell ya the truth. i never would have thought that it would have that much of a difference on the structure of the cola's. they feel heavy but look "spacey?" like a bunch of dense foxtails, but under a hps they are very full with zero space for a few nodes at least. i've ran this same cut under 1x400w hps(cheap-o), 4x600w hps(horti eye) and had exactly the same growth every time. i know how she grows and this was much different, still looks good though don't get me wrong just different. i still think the CMH is a kickass bulb! but next time i'm going to run a hps for that fullness during weeks 3-6 then switch back to cmh for the last 10 days cause of the density i got.
the more i think about it i start to wonder if it was the heat at the canopy that caused the weird growth. i know i'm a retard when it comes to applying "power" to anything, and a 250w would have been better. i should have trained behind the net till stretch was over, i lost a lot of the buds to over crouding. otherwise i'd be jumping up and down like a little school girl.
anyways, i'll be back bigger and better in a C-13. no veg/mom chamber. it will be awesome. till then, i'ma smoke like a train!
BTW. a vape on 190*F will dry a bowl worth in 5-10 min and taste way better than any "quick dry" i've ever had.

STKE, would u suggest using a HPS and a CMH light at the same time, for a better outcome? Or would u just use the HPS for flowering and the CMH for veg?
BTW: Whats everyone opions on this? Both lights or just one for veg and the other for flower?

I get the same or better yield with CMH versus Horti. Better high and quality overall.
Nice grow! I bet that is some high quality smoke. Was this your first go around with the v-scrog? Heat can cause some foxtailing and even effect finish times on Sativa based genetics. I have also seen it cause some wierd one leaf growth/flower extensions that pop up late in flower. I can see much skill in your grow man. I take the easy road these days with coco or organic mixes, so anytime I see good hydro runs I am impressed. Nice creative job all the way around.

night crawler, i do think a mixed spec will do better. you can't beat the veg and stretch control with CMH, and the fullness hps gives. i'm using both next cab to see what happens since i'll have more room.

i think the quality of product and weight was just as good, it just doesn't look the same. you can def get by with a cmh but i want both spectrum's. i'll do a cmh and hps v-scrog and see what the difference will be from the top to bottom with the two different lights. i really think the cola's in the middle will be the best. i'm shooting for at least 2 sq yrd's of usable canopy in the next cab.
