Hey guys, some very good looking ladies and pics in this thread at the moment!
I will add a contribution but things are still kinder only just kicking off.
Anytime, good luck with your upgrades, Just a quick note, try and set the cool tube to where its easy to clean the inside of the tube, I'm using a hose clamp for now to hold the bulb/base setup, and just loosen to remove and clean inside and the bulb.
Here's my first setup, but the bulb tip was too close to the door, too much light loss, but was the easiest way to clean
thanks, i hadn't even thought of cleaning it. i just walked like 2 miles wandering around home depot looking for odds and ends, but i think i should have most everything i need.
heres a few pics of some mr nice spice under a 400wt hps, I switched to a 600 about a week after these were taken. I still use a 400 wt halide for veg though
I'm lovin the 400 compared to the 150 HPS that I had done all my previous grows with. The buds are so much denser, and just more appealing to the eye in general (I guess size does matter LOL).
Here are my first plants under the 400. The first pic is of my papaya about a week before harvest, she's been cut and jared for about 3 weeks now. Right at 28g dry. The second is of my Kush x Black Domina, just cut last night, no clue on weight. And the last is of my Rhino at day 45. My current rotation allows me to harvest a plant about every 2 weeks. Keeps a steady flow of fresh buds and variety to my stash
Well I test the waters...I mean Soil LOL...I do have a 400W HPS Hortilux....
4 plants in a vertical hang...
I shine the lamp inches from the ladies

jumblyjoe - I start to tie mine right about the time that they are put into flower. I just tie the top of the plant strait over and tie the side branches as it becomes necesary. I switch the lights by the time they get to 12" pretty much no matter what. Typically around 10" unless they've been FIM/topped then I let them go to about 12". This keeps my plants in the 2-3ft range at harvest.
