Looking good Guy's, and day 4 flower!

Looking good Guy's, and day 4 flower!

Looking good guys, i really will have to try some of these strains so little time to many strains though ehehe.
Well this is what my grow looks like 4 day's flower and we have stretch. As you can see the lst so far has worked well but each four corners are a little low. I will be using a screen next round but its partly balancing the lighting distance.

Took this a couple of days ago, white widow roots trying to escape already :)

Going to do some trimming and train the widow a little.

Good luck everyone!

WOW niel thats pimp! What kind of soil are you using? Is that one big bed of soil? Whats your watering/nutrient regiment?

Hi norcal thanks, I am using about 50 percent bio bizz allmix soil and the rest is a seedling starter soil with perlite added(+dolomite lime). Its not one bed though that would be really cool, I have two plant pots that at the top completly span my space well i actually had to cut them slightly. The pots get smaller the bottom so dont completly use the space but its quite close.
I use bio canna and biobizz nutrients, so far i have been using biobizz grow almost every watering and bio canna vega every few waterings. I water when they need every 3-4 days normally. Just looking at additives for this grow now but i will be using biobizz and biocanna nutes.
Goodluck with your grow NC!

Joining the 400w club. (please?)

Have 8 Ak47 blooming away, under a warm 400w MH. In about 2.5 weeks into flower, and man am I ever getting anxious. Been trying to get some pics, but my camera does not like the glare and they all look very washed out.

But very nice to be here!

Welcome aboard Dr Dog!

Beautiful plants everyone!
I think I bought the wrong cab from Home Depot. Its been sitting in the box for a couple weeks now. I've started to put it together and I'm thinking its going to be too small C-25 (70x30x21 inches) roughly. I should have the lights, fan, etc mounted in there within the next week. If it doesn't suit my needs I'll be forced to buy a new 250w MH for a new veg light to put in there. And then go back to Home Depot and buy the larger C-24 to use with the 400. What do all of you think about that ??

Harvested these NL clones last night at 61 days. They make me drool...

Hi nonoreschwag, i dont no if this helps but my cab is almost the same size as yours. As you probably can see i air cool my 400w which helps with the height aswell as heat. I ges if i had a choice i would use a larger cab but i think its def possible to put a 400w in there.
Goodluck with your grow!

Hello guys and gals.

I am joining the 400w club. I'm ordering equipment

https://htgsupply.com/productdetail.asp?productID=241
400 watt High Pressure Sodium Ballast Kit
$44.95
Includes:

1 - 400 watt Low Heat HPS Ballast

1 - 400 watt HPS Capacitor

1 - 400 watt HPS Ignitor

1 - Mogul Based 4KV Pulse Rated Socket with fine threaded 8/32 bolts

7 - High Temperature Wire Connectors

EASY TO UNDERSTAND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED!

*2 year warranty*
Save a few bucks and wire it myself - everything included in this kit, except project box (to put ballast into) and plug wire. - I haven't decided how I'm going to do the reflector yet.

The bulbs at http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EProducts.asp?ProductFamilyID=22
HP400 Mogul Base
HPS 400-watt, clear, ANSI-S51, ED18 bulb, universal operating position, E39 mogul base

Lamp Output: 48000 initial, 36000 mean
Lamp Color Rendition: 2100k
$7.95
This is just a standard 400w HPS bulb.

My question to club members is:
Have you noticed a substantial difference between standard HPS bulbs such as this standard one listed and the Hortilux/AgroMax bulbs.

The AgroMax at $70 claims to have on average of a 7,000 more lumens and 30% more blue spectrum. And the Hortilux $65 claims to same extra lumens and 25% more blue spectrum.

I have an 800W combo MH/HPS for veg and at first I only use the 400MH,does that make me a potential clubmember?

Looking good heavy chevi! and really good dj!
I havent been able to get any good pics think the light is reflecting of plants to much. The mystic is at 3 foot and the widow just below.
I am running out of room, i have about another foot left but will have to move fan outside room again to use the last of my space. I am waiting for a fan speed controller so i will move the fan when i get that. I think i am seeing the first signs of buds forming at last :woohoo: well few is all i can say really hehe.
Heres a pic of the top of the grow!( going to have to do some trimming this week)

thought i would include this, its pretty new and my weapon of choice if i want to get really high.

Good luck everyone!

Edit. Took This at Lights out, they dont look 3 foot here but i asure you they are :)

3 weeks in

3 weeks in

Well I still suck really bad at taking pictures, but I am very happy with my first attempt so far. My AK is starting to pack some weight on.

I have a question though. It is getting cold here at night, my lights go off about 6 pm. The temp inside my room is about 25 c at the plants during the day but at night the temps outside are going to 10 c,( I am not going to turn on the furnace in September) so the grow area is dropping to about 13 to 15 degrees. Will this cause an issue, should I watch the temp more at night?

Trying to get a good shot, it looks a lot better through the microscope

Hey guys,

I'm applying to for membership in the 400watter club.

I am nearing completion of my c-25 cabinet. I plan to grow 6 plants in 2 gallon DWC buckets. I just put the plywood back on tonight and will cover the wood with some mylar for reflection purposes.

As user_name can attest to I am not a newbie to growing - I've pulled 7 successful grows in a smaller counter height cabinet under a 150 watt hps, averaging around 3oz per grow with two plants scrogged in 2 gallon DWC buckets.

So I'm just waiting for my 400 to show up. It will be a remote ballasted model with a simple batwing style reflector.

my plan was to re-use the 134 cfm dayton blower and carbon can filter from my current cabinet. I'll have the ballast and other electronics in the upper cabinet and the lamp in the bottom section. Air pumps will be on the outside of the cabinet as I find this keeps them from adding heat and also keeps the air being pumped into the buckets cooler than if the air pump was inside the cabinet.
I do not plan to cool tube or air ventilate through the hood but will have a fan blowing on the bulb and a couple of fans for air movement.

the cabinet will be in my bedroom which has central air conditioning/heat and is kept at a constant 68 degrees.

so my question is will my old 134cfm dayton blower be able to handle the heat? or should I upgrade to a fantech or a bigger dayton?

The 134cfm currently keeps my 150 watt HPS cabinet which also has 40 watts of floro tubes in it at 5 degrees above ambient at the most.

here's the picture of the cabinet in progress - doors will go on tomorrow. I have (4) 2" intakes in the floor - and I'm not opposed to adding a few more intakes to the back wall if I need to.

I'm on a tight schedule as I have four girls in my 150 cabinet that desperately need to be moved to bigger buckets and into the bigger cabinet -

called the place I ordered my 400 from and much to my disappointment they had trouble giving me a status of the order it's about a 5 hour drive so ups ground should only take 2-3 days and I ordered on saturday. so it looks as though I may be putting the 150 in there tomorrow and the 134cfm and running that until my 400 shows...

and here's a picture of my current 150 watt setup - which will become my veg cabinet after I put in some other cheaper fan solution.

last round which produced over 100grams by my estimate (I don't own a scale for obvious legal reasons)

and here's a picture of my old veg cabinet :D

so please let me know what you think

wow a work of art suga, welcome to the club dude!!!

no doubt suga knows how to grow 'em guys, good friend to have around.

now that i see ur post that clears up a few things for me......

here's my intial idea to shoot to ya.........DIY cooltube w/ batwing for the 400, cooled by the dayton pulling fresh air from outside, then exhausting it out. another exhaust fan hooked to the scrubber (push or pull? not much room for a scrubber in there) will exhaust the space itself.

just an idea.
