It is a keeper in any pheno .imho . Or make some S1s? When the Girls are gone they are .....gone . Re-cycle always with DJ Genes !!!

WEEEEEdogies!!! If you get a small number of seeds that don't fill the bud sites up, that'll sure help offset the high cost oF the DJ Shorts strain!!! :headbange

Are those "flowers" actually single leaflet "bud leaves" opposite of each other?
Sometimes, the newer ones can be yellow-ish.
...just guessin'...

Nope, when it started I popped the question up. Since then they come up and stack a new caylax on top of the other. I've got to get a new pic up, they packed some weight on and they are just about finished now.

I put the question on DJ's thread so when he comes back around I'm sure he can explain it better for us. I was told it also shows in OTM.

I had to pull the girls out of the cab to get a good pic of the coloring, that CMH light, bleaches a lot out. Looking to chop soon, 3-5 days I'm guessing.

Here's the shorter, bushier of the 2

And the taller one

And back in the cab with a ruler

A few bud shots

and the Mandala Safari Mix Trio

and the 2 T*HazeXShunk twisted up, from what I hear these things get out of control

Once the Grape Krush is out, I'll replant most of that to bigger containers and drop the tub out, under it is another one 1/2 inch below that's the res. I'll be popping the AK47 SOON :jump: I can keep it in a smaller cab I have set up until the Safari Mix finishes......I havent figured out how I'm keeping that haze going, 90-120 to finish, it may have to go under another light at the end.

I just went throught the pics at the larger siz....damn I suck with a camera. A friend of mine was a photographer, he always said, people have an eye for or they dont.....I don't. Sorry those first pics are blurry but you can see the color, I was baked and trying to stand and take the pic, I just couldn't keep the camera still.....I won't even say how many I had to delete and those were the best ones. :pointlaug

Thanks Zoo! I'm pretty proud, this will be my first chop!!! I can't call it a "harvest" with only 2 plants.....but the first I've grown all the way thru!
My warden is so impressed, I may be granted a larger working area for a little while!! :woohoo:

Aloha! Murphy,

Nice grow! Bummer about the high ratio of males—luck of the draw sometimes. Like the lemons/lemonade analogy; when presented w/ pollen—make beans!

The extended floral clusters are a sativa trait expressing themselves on an indica structured plant—looks interesting, actually. Will see how these turn out.

As for flushing—the longer the better IMHO. Less productive, but increased quality. Keep up the good work.

Enjoy!

:jump: The Man himself stopping by on my thread, what an honor to get a compliment! Thanks DJ!

I cut the 2 tallest buds on the shorter plant last night to get them started on drying, they were finished. The "extend clusters" as DJ called them, stack 5-7 high in some places. It's a little funny looking after removing some leaves. There are places where they stick out, just a stack of them built 5-7 high about 2-3 inches. Cutting these 2 out opened the insides of the other buds a lot more light.

The 2 plants are finishing differently, the shorter one is further along, the tall one seems to want to keep going for now. The shorter one has some tops where the pistols have turned brown and the sides are still going but, the taller one doesn't have any tops that have stopped. Almost like it's 4 days or so behind.

I'll take another round of photos this weekend and chop the shorter one, I'll see where the taller one is and decide then.

Hey Murph,

Just ran through your whole thread. Sorry about the males you win some and you loose some. Have you been wearing your seatbelt on this rollercoaster ride. The bud are looking good nice and chunky :headbange

I'm pretty much a newbie and did weeks of reading through ICMAG before I got started. Chill out on the nutes dude. In my readings they talked about high rates of males and one thing they related that to was stress caused by over nuting. All the Nute companies want is to sell to you and there calculators are geared to make them money.

Now I'm talking from my extensive reading not personel experience. well I can say 1 grow. Start your seeds out in veg around 400-500 PPM and slowly work them up to 1000-1100 ppm. In flower I started mine out at 1150 and work my way up to 1500-1550 by the end of flower. You stopped by today and thanks for your praises. The skunk mega buds are running at 1450 right now and will go up to 1550 before I add a little water. The babies 2 weeks into flower are running 1150 and will move to 1250 before I add some more water.

Besides having healthier plants and hopefully less males.

You will save lots of Money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well lets see some more rocking buds, KB

Hi Murphy, Your gonna have a real battle keeping those TH x S #1 "Thunks"in line with height control! Sure hope you went 12/12 ASAP with those. Tie em down as low as you can, mabey even tie em down to run along the bottom and low sides of the grow area. LST pinching ad evwen toping they will just laugh at ya and keep on takeing off on ya. They'll turn into some monsters if they get even half a chance!!!!!

Good news though, if worst comes to worst you can allways drop them into the bottom of the rez and that'll give some more Maxheadroom! ;) =P

Green_tea!!! That's just fine in a soil grow, but with hydro you want to flush to get as much of the surars and starches used up to get a smoother smoke! Just thought you might like to know! Don!

Murphy, Your Ladys sure look good enough to eat and smoke and grind lol!

New Pics taken a few minutes ago.

The shorter Grape Krush, I've taken a few buds so far. This one is is about done.

and the taller Grape Krush, I think this one may go thru the weekend. It still has growth and there are plenty of fresh pistals.

and some bud shots from the taller plant

A shot of the rest of the group in the cab

.....these Mandala Safari Mix seeds are a hit! I took cutting about a week ago, ended up sticking them in peat pellets, they still look strong. I took one cut from the T*hazeXskunk, it's not looking good but, I'm not concerned, I doubt I finish the 2 plants I have. Tonight I took a few other lower branches off, stuck them in peat pellets also. All are now in a CFL cab under 18/6.

That's it for now. :Bolt:

I had a chance to grab a few more shots, it's not often I get a chance.
A closer intro to the 3 Safari Mix Girls, put under 12/12 on 3/10

Here's a shot of the tops of the T*HazeXSkunk. Different looking....
I transplanted them into 3 1/2 gallon trash cans....yeah, I know, I'm such a professional grower.

and some random Grape Krush shots

SWEET! The Grape Kush are looking dank the way the purple traits arecomeing thru!!!
Those Safari mix gals are doing very mice also, ya may want to take a few of the Thunk clones and put em outside somewhere and see how they do, they're gonna be tough to keep trained indoors! I'd tie the branches ya have all the way down to the bottom and let em grow back up, almost like folding em in half;) Ecxellent job on those!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Murphy again.
