400 W Grow

Hey, what's up all you people hangin out on icmag. I'm currently doing a grow report for some Highgrade-seed strains I ordered a couple of months ago. The grow report is on the highgrade site. I'm going to include the link. I wanted to put this out here on this forum just to get more info out there on HGS. I've read a lot of sketchy things that people have said about him on different sites. I haven't had any problems, this is my second grow and tis going way better than my first. Also, I think my pics speak volumes for the genetics of his strains.

Check it out:

alrite cool doc. Definitely think I'm gonna have a battle tryin to prove to people to trust HGS genetics, just because he's gotten some bad publicity. Hopefully my grow and pics will speak for themselves.

Alrite guys I'll add some more pics later. I just wanna first explain my orignal set up. I started to germinated 4 electric fruit punch 3 super haze and 3 brainwrecks from highgrade-seeds. I germinated directly in FFOF soil mix. 3 Electric Fruit punches, 2 Brainwrecks and only 1 super haze sprouted. They were vegged under shop fluorescents for the first couple of weeks. Then I switched to a 400 W MH. 2 Electric Fruit Punches, 1 Super Haze and 1 Brainwreck were FIM'ed. After the switch from 12/12 1 Electric Fruit Punch, 2 Brainwrecks and 1 Super Haze were female. So my I only sprouted 6/10 seeds and of those 6, 4 were females. A pretty good ratio! Just need to work on my germination method...

Untopped brainwreck (different plant 2 weeks)

same plant at three weeks:

So it is a pretty reasonable conclusion that these brainwrecks are sativa dominant. The internodal length was elongated during "stretching" the first 3 weeks of flowering. Also, the grow room is hardly ideal (no true ventilation, possible sources of light leaks, light system was hard to switch)... Anyways yea thats the Brainwreck from HGS for the first 3 weeks of flowering. I'm going to move onto the Electric Fruit Punch (EFP) and Super Haze strains now. I'll come back to post some more pics on the brainwrecks after that.

Alrite gang, I'll be movin onto the Electric Fruit Punch plants now. Entering flowering theere were these three specimen

The latter two were FIM'ed, the last one produced three apical shoots, the second two. Unfortunately the second one depicted was the only female of the group. Even more unfortunately, I couldn't save the third one and collect pollen (really wanna breed ASAP). Regardless, I was happy to have a female. Heres what she looked like at 2 weeks

Alrite well I guess I'll just keep truckin on with this report and hope for some feedback. The first 2 weeks of flowering, the ladies were under a 400 W MH partially to reduce "stretching" and because the HPS bulb was broken. The ladies are in 4 gallon pots with a 2:1 mixture of FFOF to FFLW. Dolomitic lime was also supplemented at the concentration of 1 Tbl/gallon of soil. During vegetative growth the plants recieved NO nutrients whatsoever. Partly due to not having a good veg. fert and also I wanted to test the innate nutrient levels of the soil mix. Turned out fine and definitely supplemented enough N for the first couple weeks of flowering even. No deficiencies were present.

For the first two weeks of flowering, the ladies were fed with botanicare's PBP Bloom Liquid Karma and hygrozyme. After that, the bottle of PBP Bloom was empty and I decided to make the switch to FF Tiger, Big Bloom and and also Beastie Bloomz and Chaching supplements (no open sesame since I was already past the point in which I'd use it).

During week 3 I fed:
1/4 tsp Beastie Bloomz
2 tsp Tiger Bloom
1 Tbl. Big Bloom
2 tsp Liquid Karma
2 tsp Hygrozyme.

I started with 1/2 the reccomended concentration for Beastie Bloomz, to see how the ladies responded. As you can tell by the week 3 pics, the definitely bulked up! I plan on stepping up the concentration of Beastie Bloomz/Cha-Ching over time and judge plant vigor and performance. I also plan on simultaneously feeding with Beastie Bloomz and Cha-Ching, as I have seen a grow report over on the HGS site in which a member did and had tremendous results.

PS: I dont own a pH meter and wont have one this entire grow. The one I did order off of ebay was busted and cant afford one until next grow.
Alrite hope I cleared up any questions or clarity issues

That is pretty much what we like here, I was looking at your 3 weeks pics, is that some Mold on your leaf?

hey man thanks for the reply! If youre talking about the last pic of tehs uper haze, it isnt any mold, just pH spotting (I assume). Definitely not too humid in the grow room. I am currently at week 8, 5 weeks past the last pics I posted, and there is no mold. If you wanna see my later week pics right away, check em out over at highgrade. Otherwise I'll be movin some over here over hte next week or so.

Well that is good, just appeared to be some white looking stuff on the fan leaves, I would not worry about the ph pen that much. I have yet to have a problem, I just make sure I use somewhat quality ingredients and follow all the great advice I have received here.
I don't think I have ever had a ph issue. Nothing noticeable anyways.
