Yes, and look at the huge circle of light around that black spot.
All coming from the end of the bulb.
That is just from the low wattage bulb you have posted.
Even bigger and brighter with more popular wattage bulbs like 600 and 1000.
Free light. Lots of it.
Your ductwork has no use for it, but your plants do.
What is not to like about that?
Is there a downside to more light being reflected onto your plants?
I don't understand the resistance from freezerboy and mrred.

What they are trying to says is that it doesnt matter if the exhaust ducts are to the front and back of the bulb or on the sides, you will still lose light either way.
However, you will lose less light if the ducts are to the front and back.

Unless the ducts are covered with reflective material, like the suggested model.

Those small reflectors summittoker are good for small spaces.....but just be careful when the plants get closer to the bulb because a "hot spot" could develop.....i can't remember if it was this exact model that i have seen that happen, but it was this same shape and size where the hot spot happened, basically directly under the bulb in the direct center of the canopy.....as long as you flower them short, i don't think you will have any problems, but its always good to have feedback like this in advance so now you know what to look for....

looks good so far!!!!

:ying: kind regards from guineapig :ying:
