Hi, very nice grow you got going there. I suggest after you cure, try to sell some and buy a new box and another bulb or two...

How many seeds did you plant there?

Thanks man! It's just one plant

Time for the weekly update... week 2!

So, I let the plant growing without touching for 4 days and today i removed some leaves and all the lower branches. I took pics of the before/after, don't know if i should defoliate more... there are still a lot of leaves!
My fear right now is that she'll outgrow the box, there are only 5 cm from the bulbs

Hi, the plant is doing well! I have just logged in to post the update at week 3!
She suffered a bit because she was too close to the lights and some leaves burnt. I modified the box and lowered her, now she looks happy but the taller branches are flowering slower than the others... I think that she's still recovering from the shock

Now time for the weekly question
Should i trim all the stuff above the buds?
Thanks

If it were me, I would not remove any material. All the leaves are providing energy for the plant to help it grow/mend. IMO removing these leaves would not be beneficial to the plant at this time.

Thanks blynx, I'll let her grow without removing anything.
Now the plant is really changing every day, today I can see many more pistils than yesterday!
(Good job)

Week 4!

Random bud pics! :tiphat:
The best ones you see are the main cola and the first branch that came out, but they all look good to me (just smaller)... what do you guys think?

Is the plant growing under 3 CFLs? Are all the CFLs the same spectrum? What spectrum are you flowering under?

about how tall is she now?

She's around 25/30 cm

yes she's growing under 3 cfls with different spectrums, 25W blue and 45W red. I've seen very good results with mixed spectrums and thought that the more light the better so i left the blue one. She's also been vegged under mixed spectrum

week 5!

Taking her time
I'm a bit worried because flowering is quite slow and buds are at different stages... the little ones are full of pistils on top while the bigger ones still have leaves.
Slow growth is probably due to low light because overall the plant looks healthy (except for some burnt leaves). Is this normal to you or should I start to worry?

Sorry guys missed last week update but the plant is still flowering! We are now at week 7!

One the buds burnt because it touched the lights but the others look pretty good so far...sure it won't be a big yield but maybe a good quality one :smoke:

How many weeks do you think she'll take before harvest?

Can you tie the upper buds down anymore than they are already tied down?

Looking at the pics, I would let it go another 3 weeks or so.

Thanks guys for the support, i really appreciate it!!

@blynx I modified the whole box so the plant has more space, now there is no risk of burning anymore while the buds are still 5cm from the lights.
I took a photo of the burnt top because it's looking quite interesting, it's still growing and it looks bigger than the others... don't know if anyone has ever thought about topping buds but it looks like a new method to get fatter and more compact flowers

Hey, flowering is still going on!

Buds are looking pretty, maybe another week or two before harvest :dance013:

I was thinking if I should trim all the sugar leaves or leave them on the buds when I'll harvest... sure they aren't enough to make ash, but the buds will look prettier without them
What do you suggest?

The plant is looking nice!

I would let it go another two weeks. There are still lots of white hairs and the last couple weeks is when the buds usually swell up.

I've had tops hit lights or get screwed up and gotten some weird thick/larger bud growth around the damaged area. But I also noticed that those funky looking buds usually don't smell as nice/smoke as well. It's like the plant is creating a scab instead of muscle.
