2kw Lavender Purple Maxx Trial

Here we go on another coco run this time we are growing out some lavander. From what I have seen these genetics are great flavor super up high energetic creative purple smoke with a decent yield in under 60 days flower thats the plan here.

Last run I used for the first time some bushmaster and was very impressed, stopped vert growth and cut flower time down by a couple weeks with great yield. So because I can only grow a limited number of plants I have to veg about a month so any cut in flower time is a big bonus.

I took cuts off the mother that was gifted to me before i flowered her this is the story of those 12 cuts...

Should be a cool run plan on trying this new product called purple maxx from what I have heard it turns this strain dark purple and really kicks up trich and resin production.

Transplants...

Transplants...

Lol I know its not coco but I took my rapid rooter plugs and transplanted them into a popular soiless substrate called "light warrior" good stuff acts like coco-perlite which is what these will get transplanted into...

Veg nutes so far have been foxfarm grow big with a little floralicous grow very light dosages.

Here they are 2 days later, I see 2 of em lagging but they are catching up and at least by the time we flower they will be cool last time i only ran 10 plants so maybe I can cut my veg even more.

I will be watching this one. I have wanted to grow lavender for a while in my coco setup but haven't because of its lower yeilds. Good luck.

nice, lavender is a good smoke as far as i remember. should do you proud, specially in coco :D

hey T.doT.Toker, coco isn't cheap when you compare the price directly. but when you consider, that you can reuse coco for an easy 3 or 4 harvests and that you can get away with much smaller pots of coco as a medium then you'd need earth for comparable results. so all in all the price is not more then a good quality earth mix. in fact the earth with all additives might well be more expensive then the coco would be for the same amount of space.

UPDATE!!!

UPDATE!!!

I know its been a while but veg time is so uneventfull, I tortured them pinching and topping to make them all multiheaded beasts I have some with a few as 7 huge stalks to some that have 15 just to see how she likes to grow, this will help me optimize my yield.

Well they are all ~ 16" tall very level headed lol...

I transplanted them into #5 (~4gal) pots of the same bcuzz coco I used my last run about 2 weeks ago, just flushed it and have been using good amount of an sensizyme.

I have been stripping all the lower vegetave growth making them look like bare naked ladies lol but I hate popcorn buds and I want a flat canopy of huge purple buds.

I added a nifty fan speed controller that has a thermostat and multispeeds was for cieling fans but just wired it inline with my lights cooling and now my fan only runs when the temps get high yay the room is getting nicer.:woohoo:

I have more plans for the room
Seal completely and run co2
Add an a/c unit
I am trying to decide another 1kw or maybe just a 600digi Can get them both for about the same and I am really thinking of switching the whole grow to 5 600w in cool tubes. Heat management would be very easy with something like that summer temps are comming and I need to be planning ahead. :yoinks:

Ill try and add some pics asap they look great

User Name thanks for the kind words! I am so excited but I allready ran out of meds from my last run so the urge to flower is bad but they need another week of veg to yield what I want.

jimjay stay posted I am just vegging longer for big multiheaded bushes so I can put 4 plants under each light stay within my local limits and get enough yield to keep me medicated until next harvest. then gonna build a pre veg box so I can cut it down to 2mos cycles.

gaiusmarius this lavander I have smoked the end product of and it was such quality medicine very creative energetic flavorfull strong stone that looks insane hope mine turns out as nice or better

T.doT.Toker Yes you can use coco outdoors either in pots or in the ground, CoCo is so easy to use.

Hey 007:wave: I'm running 4 lights of Lav right now, and am about to harvest. They are ending up wanting to be done at 6 to 6&1/2 weeks. I have been using BM, and just this run ran gravity and Purple Maxx. Hit them with the PM at day 21 and you'll be stoked. I ran it later, like day 35 or something, cause I expected them to want to go longer, but now I may be pulling them after only 1 week of the PM. The trichomes get all long and tall after you use that stuff. I haven't really seen a visible effect from the Gravity, but I have been hearing you don't really see an effect until you weigh your crop.

Good luck bud

Whew what a disaster today!!! I tripped the power to my grow and it reset that fan controller so it was off I caught it 3hrs into the lights temps got up to 94 holy shit!!!

But not that big a deal situation was handled pretty quickly.

Set the fan controller bypassed the filter and just ducted all the hot air at the top of the room.

I raised the lights a foot and a half.

I foliar feed them with age old organics cold press sea kelp 60ml/48oz (double my normal)

Then I decided to mix a 5gal batch of additives
25ml bushmaster
200ml sweet
60ml age old organics (double normal dosage)
5ml floralicious plus
10ml vitamax (almost double normal)

of the 5 gallons each plant gets about 1.25l

The only reason I threw the bm in the mix was because they only started to show minor stress, small holes developing in a couple leaves not every plant showed any signs, and I didn't add nutes because I just did yesterday I am using supernatural bloom terra powder this run it ph buffers and has givin me great results in the past I think any base nute is good I get great results with everything it comes down to what I have around and is easy to use I hand water 5 gallon batches plus I got the supernatural stuff for free from the hydro store bunch of sample packs.

My current bloom nute lineup is
supernatural bloom terra at half strength
an barricade (p silicate)
floralicious plus
age old organics sea kelp
botanicare sweet
bushmaster
purple maxx
grotek vitamax
canna pk13/14

Thats all I can think of right now, but I think I may add gravity to the line up we will just have to see...

You may want to dilute that rez with the BM bro. I tried 5ml/gal, and it was really easy to burn. I use 3ml/gal, and run for 5 days, and get full effect without burns. I think you'll be cool if you just add straight water to the rez until you have added 15gals. You can spot the BM burn early if you look up through the bottom of the leaves at a light source. You'll see some dark spots between the viens

I ended up giving them another 25ml/5gal bm this time along with all the nutes and additives at the before posted levels.

They look great so lush and green I raised my lights off like 3 feet from the canopy only stress I see was from that damned 3 hrs at 90+ been hitting them hard with kelp foliar feedings at 60ml/2l and adding some gh fish-mix on occasion. really helps them deal with stress from my expierience.

Today the ladies are looking lovely hit them with the first dosage of purple maxx I added about 25ml/2l and also added sea kelp 60ml/2l then said fuck it and gave them 15ml/5gal along with the typical half strength nutes full strength additives will start ramping up nutes as weeks go by.

I want to see how they react to the purple maxx before I decide my schedule but so far looks like a weekly foliar and either a weekly every other feed or every feed.

Plants aree starting to smell pretty bad and my room is not so sealed time to get that done and get some more carbon filtration going on I will be adding ac as well so we will see how I deal with all these issues as the heat rises. I plan on doing a tutorial on diy o3 exit duct scrubber.

Here are some more pics...

20kw dreams, thanks for chiming in I have been watching your lavender thread as well these girls are sooo smelly! I hope to pull em at 6.5weeks how did you dose them with the purple maxx? Did you use gravity? I havent tried gravity yet but want to check it out.

I don't really use a rez at this point still fine tuning this room I just fill a 5gallon bucket with water and add nutes and hand water 1.25l to each plant almost everyday. Until I can get this room perfectly sealed with co2 then I can think about a hydro system.

You know, I did use Gravity for the first time, but I don't know what it did if anything, because I used it like 10 days or something before harvest. I finished WAY earlier then expected, thanx to Bushmaster.

Watch out for budrot though right at finish. It's hit me 2 x now when I used BM, cause your buds get so thick. It'll hit you right when you are considering harvesting, or at least that's when it hit me both times.

The PM does work, but NEVER PUT IT IN A REZ! It turned my rez's into globby, foamy shit. I saw the best results after foliar feeding 2.5 ml/gal compared to putting it in the water anyways. I've been hearing it works best if you just foliar all the ways through flower once a week at 1/2 strength, then 2x a week 3 weeks before flower just for that week, then stop cause the foliar can increase your chances of getting mold. It didn't really push colors out of my herb, but made them frost up crazy a couple of days after spraying with it.

Yeah, that Lavender rocks. My tops only got a 2 day fluch, and my connesuer patient tells me it's THE cleanest tasting purple weed he's smoked(didn't go purple, but still tastes/smells like purple strains) Probably partially the coco, but whatever it is, they go great together:tup:

Well I made some improvements...
Switched from my cool sun reflectors to cool tubes
Sealed room
added co2
Addded AC
Added 8" 740cfm fan to the big carbon scrubber 800cfm just recirculating air in the room it cycles the room air about every 40 seconds having issues with higher humidity now because the ac never runs cause its set at 80 and the room never goes above 82-85 which is perfect for co2.

I am so glad I made the improovements I did but I am not done and before next run I am making this room complete lil more electrical to support the new goiodies and increased wattage!

I have been foliar feeding them 1-3x week with purple maxx .5ml/1.5L spray bottle application along with 15ml-25ml sea kelp

Current nute regimin
all amounts per 5 gallon water
2 tbsp Supernatural Bloom Terra
2 tbsp Supernatural Super Boost
1 tsp Supernatural Bud blaster
15ml canna pk13/14
25ml an cal mag+ bloom
25ml an barricade (p silicate)
10ml purple maxx
100ml sweet
5ml floralicous plus
40ml an humic acid
25-50ml sea kelp
Plants are looking great loving the addition of the co2 plants look like they are actually starting to turn color I see slight magenta and purple tones developing and I am at like day 20 of flower.

Cool to see the difference between the plants that I gave like only 7 main stalks and the ones that have up to 15 stalks should really be able to dial this strain in sucked I had such a long veg time but gotta keep em under the numbers :)

lavender!!!

im at two weeks here, lavender using Gh, under 400w .. i've been using purple max for the last year up in humbolt and theres some mixed results with this product.... most def you get an increase in resin glands, but not ness. purple color! ive had a taste test and found a sweeter flavor as well. i use as a foliar for three weeks tbl. per gal. seems to work the best! also feed at sleepy time so the enviorment is cool and absorbent ...yup! heres some latest pics I'll have more in two weeks!!!!!!!!
