2kw Alternating Mod-Scrogs!

phog, the Scrog's are awesome! I grew each of these strains free standing on the last run. With the Scrogs, I was able to control with suprising precision exactly how high the canopy would be. By flipping them a bit before the screen is full, then training for the first couple weeks of flower I was able to create a carpet of tops. Now that carpet is about 6-10" deep acroos the whole 4.5' square a few bare spots withstanding.

Right now I'm still experimenting (learning) so I will try other stuff, but I think Scrogs will always be high on my list. Now if I could legally grow any number of plants, I think it would be SOG SOG SOG but that just aint the case...

I'm back!!! Holy shit it was everything I imagined and more!!! We will be going back every chance we get. :D :D

It was all the better to come back and see what my girls have been up to. I was AMAZED when I first looked at them! Sugar coated goodness!

Pics are in no particular order and show buds from 5 - 7 weeks. Main Scrogs have been in flower exactly 7 weeks today. Big cheese plant in 5 gal only 10 days in now. As you can see by the trich shots, all still have a ways to go. The Ultimate Indica will finish first, likely 10-14 days. The rest are at least 2+ weeks away. I gave everything a full flower poop tea tonight and may not feed them again. All the teas and organics have the soil quite well amended.

I took sample buds from the GH Cheese, Ultimate Indica, Chocolope and GH Trainwreck over the last two days. I quick dried them and gave them each a puff. The cheese...now mind you it's completely unripe...left me in a coma for 3 hours. As with the last grow, it is a complete day wrecker. The Ultimate indica was a nice mild body buzz. The chocolope had my head dizzy as hell, and the trainwreck which I smoked on the way to a friends house tonight left me dumb as a stump. Gonna be some really nice stash...and hash! :D

On another note, I've been very surprised by the Diesels I have in pure coco. I transplanted one yesterday just to see how it would react. They are in 2 gallon pots and I expected some root issues but found no such thing! Beautiful white roots and not even bound up that bad. They have been fed nothing but 6ml Micro/9ml bloom /gal plus a little Liquid Karma (like REZ's formula). I wasn't a real big fan of the diesel as the last grow yielded huge but low potency buds. Very little trich development. This time they are budding huge again, but they have forests of trichs! Two differences. Medium (hydroton last time, same nutes mostly) or Snow Storm Ultra.

I've not found much about the Snow Storm product but it seems innocuous enough to try so I've used it as a foliar 3 or 4 times. My buds are sugar coated, but I have no control group to compare against. Will have to try that next time... Anyone else have experience with it?

I'm gonna be stepping up my photo game a bit as well, maybe get some action on that photo of the month contest. Picking up a dslr ASAP. Just can't wait anymore. :D Anyone have recommendations...budget is less than $2g's. I would love to get a full frame sensor but can't justify the cost... The D90 looks nice as well as a couple of the EOS's.

Everythings kickin along.

Tonight I started some new genetics...for me at least. 11 SS AK47 non-fem and 5 THSeeds Kushage femmd. They went straight into dirt, no paper towels or any thing like that. My wife was watching me try to cram everything under my 1 400w MH and said "looks like you need another light". :D:D:D She's a keeper! :dance013:

Just took some pics, will throw a couple up in a bit.

Tonight I finally managed to get a bunch of transplants done. 3 cheese plants went into 4 gallon square buckets with pre-amended organic soiless (LC#2 + Blood,bone,kelp). They will get EWC tea only until I see signs of hunger. Theory is they will go all the way through to harvest without any additional food. 7 other cheese will go into the same mix I'm using with the current SCROG and will get poop & fish teas. 5 down, 5 to go. I hate transplanting...

Very surprised to see purple! It's coming in on the Trainwreck and Chocolope so far. Neither strain has exhibited these traits before.

Hard to get the exposure right, but if you look carefully you can see a good part of the canopy starting to yellow up a bit. Getting closer!
