2KW 4 Strain Grow w/ pics

Hey everyone I finally put some plants in my grow room which I have been slowly working on for a couple months. It is still not complete it is a damn mess. I know I need to get all the electrical off the floor Currents strains are: Female Seeds Grape Fruit, South African Durban Posion, Female Seeds Northern Lights and Big Bud clones on their way. Plants are currently at aprox 13days from germination.. Room is going to hold a total of 25 plants

Current PPM: 345
Current PH: 5.5-5.8

8" Ducting to 6" reducer through hoods



5 Gallon buckets with GH Dual Diaphram air pumps

looks good walker!! yeah u should really get the electrical off the floor mate: just asking for trouble also if u keep adding buckets you may want to switch to a single pump instead of all the GH one's that'll be laying around and use the GH ones for ur veg room or someting.

also if ur going to be doing 25 buckets?? in that room u should really think about recirc them otherwise its gonna be a pita to maintenance that room bro.

Thanks for the input somoz. A few questions..

1) Do you think I will yield more by doing a scrog opposed to just growing them w/out training?

2) Would it be worth throwing in a 600W MH to the room?

3) Since I reduced the 8" ducting to 6" should I just leave it at 6" or increase it back to 8" and blow it outside? which will I get more flow with?

good start so far

you want to know if you should do a scrog with the current five plants?, your not talking about a 25 plant scrog, right?
five plants will still take up a lot of you time.
i'de suggest doing a slight lst, tie some branches over, and keep fan leaves away from bud sites, don't cut them, just tie them back. takes a lot less time, and works pretty good.

and the 600w mh in veg or flower?, either way it could only help

what kind of fan you using the push through your ducting?

Hey king thanks for the reply. The fan is an 8" 740cfm. I was asking if I should scrog 25 plants. the current 5 are just mothers. Thanks! are thoes your mother plants? how many clones could u clip?

1. i think u have a lot of room right now so grow em big tree style. less maintenance and a scrog might just complicate things for you at this point.

2. if u can afford it do it. more light usually = more buds. not all time but in ur case yes.

3.no u do not need to bring it back to 8". the 6 will be fine bro.

also if ur interested in doin a scrog check out outkasts grow and lotharog. they do tubes which is much easier to work with for a scrog versus buckets.

buckets=treez in my opinion. if u don't wanna do treez or at least bushes u should look into a different system.

Thanks man, this is my first DWC. Previous systems were drip and ebbnflow. I'm just asking which methhood of growing these dwc plants will give me the highest yield.. This is just a test crop because I have a 12,000watt 150bucket DWC in progress right now.. Also i'm not going to have too much room left once the room is filled up with all 25 plants. the 5 are just mothers. Thanks

i'm no expert on fans, but if you already got the 6" hooked up, go ahead and stick with it, should be fine.

no those aren't my mothers, i actually don't keep mothers, i'll take clones off a plant right before i put it into flower and grow out the clones while the original plant flowers, and start the cycle again a few times. i like to change up the strains i grow out, i just got a bunch of new ones i'm dieing to try.

i'll usually only take three clones from a plant, and keep the healthiest one or two. i don't have the space you do, so my grow is smaller. but you can pretty much take as much as you want.

i'm a bit confused here walker. if this is ur first dwc then how ur runnin 12kw with a 150 buckets right now as well, and if u are runnin that then whats up with that other 5400kw in ur other show........

Hey somoz, I am currently using two houses right now. sorry for not clarifying that

Well plants in the 2kw are doing great! I am very pleased so far with my ventilation, temp is dead nuts at 85.7! PPM is currently at 356 ph is at 5.9. I am raising PPM tomorrow to about 456. I will do a pic update this week to show how the babies are doing! They are growing almost 2 nodes per day. Does anyone have any info about the big bud strain? I know it's big but how is it quality wise?

Hey guys. Quick update:

Plants are currently in 12/12 just waiting for to find out sex. 1 has been identifed and chopped into 12 clones and put in my bubble cloner. others still have not shown sex! whats the longest it has took a plant to show sex for anyone??

iv'e put my cuts in when the stem were alreay bent like that ,,, with good results,,, but if they were strait to begin with,, i would check the PH and light set up... but that just a quess
