Hit 40F today and going down to around 0F by morning. High of 12F or so tomorrow, then back to +40F highs for the ten day.

I saw a robin the other day. Probably a Canadian going home.

12F with windchill of -3F. Its a cold one. Forecast trended cooler for today. Going to hold off on the walk until later.

I haven't noticed the robins yet. Love seeing the bluebirds this time of year. Geese are starting to migrate from what I saw the past couple days. Geese flying in formation. Saw some scenic views of mated pairs flying toward the sunset, and one sad lone goose crying out for his buddies.

Hey good time to spread grass seed by the way. Still a couple freeze thaw cycles left, and the ground has heaved pretty good with the cold temperatures. Freeze thaw cycles move mix the soil a little and help the seed to get worked in.

Throw a ball in the house for a bit, gives dogs good enough exercise. Squeaker balls are the secret.

nothing today either. beautiful sunshine out, not a cloud in the sky. problem being, the NEXT time forecast looks like that, they WON'T call school off, and the parents will foam at the mouth like rabid dogs when the ice DOES hit and a bus or two eats a ditch/creekbed...the poor bastards that make these decisions aint getting paid enough to absorb that kind of bullshit...

It was a positively wonderful day not to go outside. I skipped the dog walk as it was nothing other than an invitation to get frostbite. I bundled up and went to the garage to put the trickle charger on the vehicle and that venture out was enough. A predicted low tonight of -22c with a wind chill threat of -31c. Then it is supposed to warm up dramatically with possible rain (!!!???!!!) on Sunday. I think the weather is stoned.

had strong winds too, but I'm in a sheltered pocket
heard the wind whistling near by, would have been an interesting experience out walking in the dark with -20f temps and the wind whistling around
but that thought didn't occur to me at the time

-14 f. on the porch a moment ago when my wife walked the pups for their morning outing. This time of day, especially in this season, I let them tell me what the temperature is outside.

43F -- Sure is windy today, 51 Gust with 29 sustained winds! Temps in the 40's and 50's so no complaints, except I can't stand up straight.

May try a dog walk hoping its going to calm down a bit. We have a big field at the park I can walk in.

Warmed up to -8 f today, from -16 f. earlier. None of our temps are reaching projected highs, but certainly seem able to dip to projected night-time lows. "I want my money back."

We had 40 mph gust out of the west yesterday. Not that cold though in the 30Fs. But the garage door passed the test for leakage. The new rollers did the trick.
