250w HPS wardrobe grow

Well, I have to say I'm totally sold on this coco thang. Just look at the difference 7 days has made to this Afghani, hydro-like growth rates for sure. I have been feeding once daily till tun-off with a mixture of Formulex, Vitax Seaweed and Plagron Alga grow. I think some of this growth spurt is because the plant has had 9 inches or so of vertical coco to send it's roots down into. They have only just reached the bottom of the bottle.

I finally found a plastic tray the right size to fit mmy wardrobe, with watering till 10-15% runoff each day it was getting like a swamp in there, now it will stay nice and clean. I like to keep my grow space reasonably clean and tidy, I worry about pests and funguses gettign a hold if it's manky in there.

I rearranged the plants with the taller Afghans at one end and removed on of the revegging plants because the clone I took from her in flowering has finally rooted so I don't need to keep the original. It's getting worryingly crowded in there and some plants are getting overshadowed by bigger ones, I am waiting for the Afghans to show sex before flowering them, then I will take the top few inches of the main stem as a clone and the longest couple of branches then give them a few days to recover before flowering. I'd like to have grown them untopped so see what kind of structure they take on when allowed to grow naturally but they are so nice I want to keep clones. Once harvested and sampled, I'll be able to decide which clones to keep and which to discard.

The Egyptians are doing fine, but as they have grown it has become apparent they have quite different leaf forms. Looks like a hybrid to me, but a bit too early to tell.

It's even more crowded in there today, amazing how much some of these plants have grow in the last couple of days, been feeding at ph 6.2 and ec 1.3 for last two days, one feeding per day and also been foliar feeding with ec 1.0 ph 6.2 seaweed mixed with formulex. The nutes mixture I've been feeding the plants is a concoction of what I have available, it contains formulex, palgron alga grow, vitax seaweed and atazyme with a drop of superthrive every third feeding. They seem to be doing well on it. I've ordered some canna nutes and I'll use those instead.

The two Afghans at the back have shot up 3-4 inches since yesterday. Out of 8, three are taller, with longer internodes and very little side branching, the other five are shorter, tighter nodes and substantial branching, being menora shaped almost. So I reckon I have 3 males and 5 females as as a rule of thumb, the males are always taller, stretchier and don't side branch much.

The three Pacific Aire are doing fine, albeit squashed in one end and needing more room. They have really broad dark leaves and you can see the G13 genes right away.

Here is a Pacific Aire leaf and an Afghan leaf side by side, similar, but you can see the strongly serrated edge trait of the G13 showing thru in the Pacific Aire.

The Afghans I'm told, should pretty much all turn purple, judging by the stem colouration, I reckon they probably will. I'm sure the colouration is genetic as they are showing signs of mild overfert (glossiness of leaves, tips ever so slightly clawing), if anyone disagrees and thinks this is some kind of deficiency, please speak up!

After a terribly hard start caused by my errors and bad coco, the surviving Colombian Gold x Grapefruitbowl f2s are looking nice. There is one individual that literally stands out above the others being taller and more developed, with the longest node spacing and longest, thinnest leaves, looks like the CG pheno. Fingers crossed that it is a female!

You can quite clearly see the lumbo influence in this leaf, well I can, but I'm so used to looking at lumbos! lol

This plant is quite a way behind the Afghans in terms of rooting into the bottle, only one root has reached the bottom, and it has gone straight down, then turned 90 degrees and grown straight out of the bottle.

Hiya core

PH was too high, fed them at 5.8 today, ec 1.3 and they seem happy enough. Spotting has got worse on a couple of the affies, see what happens in the next couple of days, may need to give em a good flush at the weekend.

The Abusive cut is still in there, just hard to see her among all the others, she is just behind the Egyptians on the left-hand side. I'll put her out and take some pics later.

lol! Was it the bad coco??? Maybe the roots were trying to get outta there! haha, Just kidding bro, you shits going great! I love the way you PH really easy huh! You've got great growth rates too man. I noticed the coco was similar to hydro in growth rate as well. Way Way different than soil for sure. The coco is so much lighter, and lets the roots breathe better. I read about that, the roots breathe good then the plant grows well. Any way good shit bro, nice updates, PEACE
