Just curious but how more does a 250w produced when compared to a 150w?? Would you say significant or not really noticable?

50-100 watts per square foot.

watts / (width x depth)

Granted this only take account for 1 ft of height.

So if you are over 50watts per square foot get the 150. I was, but decided 75 watts per square foot was better.

good luck! :rasta:

You are definately not alone in the 250W world, as a matter of fact there was a 250W club back on OG.

it's a lot more than a 150. When I ran a 150, I could heat shield with glass and have a 80cfm on 1/2 strength and have good temps, ~78f in a confined space.
When I ran the 250 I had similar heat shield and 120cfm on full strength with border-line temps, like 85f.

be on the lookout for a 250w dresser stealth cab buildup in the next couple weeks closely followed by the grow diary :)

My 250w in a cool tube heats up my cab 1.5F above room temp. My space is 23" X 20" X 48" with 6" ducts and a blower running at 100 cfm. When I run 130W of CFL side lighting I run 7F above room temp.

I read many different things concerning the heat of a 250e hps before I bought one. Some people said "oh it's so hot!" others said "oh it's so cool". On my HPS, I can put my hand on the tube and it is barely warm (the cool tube that is, don't try this on the bulb...ouch).

Good luck!
