250w City Grower....Day 43 12/12

I have neglected this site by not posting any pictures or updates and I figure what I have gotten out of this site is at least worth an update and some pictures. I have been flowering for 43 days now and the smell is great. I am currently growing GHS a.m.s which in some dank smelly nug but I kinda regret buying seeds for a money grubbing theft and I plan on buying some mandala seeds next run. I also have some sensi jack flash and GHS church vegging atm, I'm really excited about the jack flash. I hope to throw them into flower here in the next couple of days. Along with my 250 hps I am running a 110w T5 from htgsupply and I am not really sure if it is helping so it may become a veg light but I guess theres no telling if it has helped or not as this is my very first tiem ever attempting to grow the herbs. When does everyone think these ladys will be done? Do you think it would be worth it to take some samples yet? I tried getting some trich pictures but I don't have a macro lens so I fliped the one I have around and it seemed to be ok I just have shaky hands.

Those are still clear you have a few weeks at least, they will go cloudy then amber, 50 50 amber cloudy is prime for most growers

Looking good Doug! Now Id say you have at least a week or 2 before you want to chop. As far as sampling well you can sample. I usually clip one of the bottom buds for sampling.
But as far as looking some amber , I would wait a week or more. I dont hurt to let the plant eat itself alive ;-)

wow, very good job your girls must love you because you take very good care of them and that growth for a 250watt is impressive. Never doubt the lower wattage hid lights, can only imagine what that setup would do simply with the change of the bulb to a CMH. YOu would never look back.

THanks everyone for your kind words! I will wait 2 more weeks for the two big ones and one week for the small one cause I'm hard up for some meds.A question about the cmh.. Could I get a cmh bulb that would work with the ballast I have? I am actually about the buy a new bulb and any suggestions would be great. I was going to go with the 270 agro I have heard great things about them but a cmh had been in the back of my mind. Some links to well price well made cmh bulb would be appreciated. Quick update I am going to start giving them water and molasses, tonight was there last feeding. I'm hoping to pull them somewhere around the 5th or the 6th the trichs should be ambering and ready to chop down by then.I can't wait, I find myself spending a lot of time just getting stoned and staring at the ladys I don't know what I'll look at once I cut them down? I guess I will have some more free time untill the next rounds ready. If anyone has any good links to and decently priced 250w cmh feel free to post them up I figure I might as well upgrade since I need to replace the bulb anyways. Heres some pictures I just took.

Yup that is all our problem, I am in veg mode right now, makes for very boring time

You need a 250W MAGNETIC ballast to run a CMH, although I hear there are some very expensive electronic ballasts made for CMH

I have a ballast I bought on ebay I know for sure its not a digital or anything. How can I tell if its magnetic?

The thread said day43....that's my lucky number, so I just had to look.......pleasent surprise....VERY nice looking flowers you have there....!!!!! The vegging plants look healthy and compact......very very nice indeed....look forwrd to see harvest/dry pics....but good weed karma to you with it all.....!!!

You can post the manufactures label which shows the electrical specifications on this site so we can see. If it's not electronic then it should be magnetic, you should be OK.

Here is my long awaited harvest pics sorry for the lack of post, but I have had a lot of buds so been kinda lazy. I ended up with a 1/4 pound from all three plants combined under the 250w hps I reach my goal!. Its a good smoke too! All three plants smell, taste and give me different highs.

One had a real sweet smell and took the shortest time to mature it was harvested first. It had more of an airy high if that makes any sense. The second smelled just like lemons it was by far the most potent. Its really good for a day smoke keeps me roaring and thinking. The third took the longest and was the tallest. The high was pretty mellow but a creeper. I currently have a 2 foot GHS church plant and 1 1/2 foot SS jack-flash. They have been in there about a week now and are showing some good hairs. This run has gone a lot smoother and the plant look a whole lot healthier. I also now have a veg room with 2 church clones, 4 purple haze (unknown sex), 2 more a.m.s (the 2 seeds I had left over from last run-fem'd), 2 jack-flash (from seed unknown sex) and the two best a.m.s plants from last run are being revegged one of them I pulled the rootball down and one I didn't. The one I didn't I don't think is going to make the cut, but the one I did is growing like crazy and is almost ready to start taking clones(luckly this is the lemon smelling one).

I have some pics from my first harvest done and will start a new diary for the up and coming plants.
