Hi,

I think you're talking about blue spectrum enriched HPS. The difference is that you can use this light for the vegging, internode will be shorter than with a normal HPS (but longer than with a MH)...

O I get it is the 270 one of those specialty metal halide lamps?

Kind of. You see, the HPS is only in the red spectrum, etc. 250, 400, 600, 1000.

Now they have new lamps available called super agro, or son agro, there is also another name.

The son agro and super agro add 30% more blue light spectrum added to the red, and the other name I can't remember adds 25% more blue spectrum. Therefore the wattage is 270, 430 and im not sure what it is for the 600 and i think 1000 is 1070.

They are suppose to be the best lights out there for all stages of growth, and keep the nodes real short comparing it to the regualr HPS stretching.

The downside is they have a shorter lifespan.... I forget how much I think it is like 16,0000 hours compared to like 24,000 someone may need to correct me on that.

The goos news is that you don't need a new lamp and they will fit right into your lamp (since they obvioulsy don'y make a 270 or 430 ballast). So the bulb is basically all you have to buy.

But in any case I just got one so hopefully I can tell a difference. I am almost in mid flowering so it probably won't show up until my next grow.

I was just seeing if any of you guys had an agro....

The first 3 weeks of flowering I gave my current crop light from the Philips Son-T Agro. Also give this light during veg..I think this reduces stretch a little.
To finish them I use regular HPS light though
