I'm just giving my opinion.
Plants do not need a break from photosynthesis, the only reason we restrict the hours of darkness they receive is to restrict the horomone that builds up to "force" them to flower when not recieving light. IMHO, the max amount of light should be given to plants at all times, ceg is no exception. 24/7 lighting for veg with no less than 1/4 of the lighting in your bloom room.
 
I personally like 20/4 through veg, then 18/6 for a week before flower. I also leave my MH in for the first week of 12/12, it helps prevent that initial stretch. I also use my MH the last week or two of flower. The UVB in the MH seams to force the plant to produce more resin the last week of the plants life.

i have a 9x9 veg room currently im on 24hr , natrual light plus hid 1k mh . i have a renreable energy solar panel on the grid . but i want to save more energy!. so i want to use my cfl lighting and 2 t12.
