205w LED vs 400w HID Let the battle begin!

Is it just me or is this guy claiming I have light leaks full of shit? Can you see the light leaks he is talking about?

they way thats set up,im not even sure any light could leak,I mean all the materials are opaque ,it's clearly metal tape at the seams and I don't see any bubbles or bunching in the tape job,it all looks well thought out and cleanly designed to me.
And nor do I recall LEDGirl saying the side by side test were being carried out by scientist,just growers of proven ability....willing to take the time and effort to post a fair and reasonable side by side comparison test of the traditional HID equipment of a certain wattage versus the 205w LED,I see nothing about your set up which would skew the results in such a fashion as to invalidate the results,what 4 days in now? Perhaps people are confusing directed light for Reflected light? When you live under bridges and squint in the full sunlight,I imagine it may be confusing....but thats just me...I appreciate you taking the time and effort to do this for the community.

Looking good blaze, cool cabs you have too. It would be interesting if you had one of those little $20 Kill-O-Watt deals to check exactly how much electricity those use. If you had two of them you could put one on each light for the extent of the grow and tell you exactly how much you used.

fishwater - A grower has done that before, it seems all of LEDGirl's lights use slightly less than the advertised wattage.

blazeoneup - Nothing in any of the pics you've posted has indicated the possibility of a light leak. I have no idea what that guy was talking about.

As stated above by GrnMtnGrwr, I believe LEDGirl has posted the actual wattage of the 205w unit as 185 watts, Do not quote me on this as I am not sure that's exact, However I am positive she has posted the actual wattages.

UPDATE:

The 2nd Generation 126W light draws 112W of actual power from the wall.

The 205W light draws 182W of actual power.

The 345W draws 310W of actual power.

I do not currently have readouts on other models, but wanted to post these online as I just did the readings.

It still doesn't really make sense to me... but it is what it is.

Red 1W LED's draw approximately .8W of power. Our light contains 85% red LED's. So .85 x 126 = 107 LED's. Now, 107 x .8W each = 85.7W

Blue and White 1W LED's draw approximately 1.2W of power. Our light contains 15% blue and white. So .15 x 126 = 19 LED's. Now, 19 x 1.2W each = 22.7W

85.7W Red + 22.7W Blue = 108.4W

Add on 6 fans, and you're at 115-120W of total power consumption.

I have a kill-a-watt meter from Home Depot (off brand), and according to it the power draw of the 205W unit is between 185-190W. The actual light being produced in wattage is about 10W less than the overall power consumption, so this light creates about 180W of light vs the 400W HPS which draws about 430-450W of power to run it's 400W bulb.

Wow I have pulled up my chair and note pad is out and even have large selection of pens and pencils for taking notes. I just have to say something about the light leaks bla bla bla. How would any one take a picture under the LEDS and be able to show how the plant is doing if they didnt put some (white) light on the area lol (no leaks just enough light to take the picture and be able to tell if they are alike or different) Thank you LEDgirl and blazeoneup for doing a show and tell for those of us (me)who cant do a side by side grow. Either switch the LEDs off and take a picture with a flash, or take a picture right after the lights turn off or right before they turn on. Some cameras may be able to cut right through it with their flash though.
