One was a joke said by a comedian. Another was an intentional insult by the President of the United States directed at half the population. If you can't see the difference I don't know what to tell you. I'm not condoning either but there is a big difference.

Also, there actually is a trash problem in Puerto Rico, so it's not like he was insulting the people, but rather the Democratic government running Puerto Rico. Just to put some context to it. Its been blown way out of proportion.

just to clarify! i lived on the island of puerto rico for 15 years. it is not a visually trashed place full of garbage. it is a beautiful place and the people are proud of it.

they do have a trash disposal problem because there are 3.5 million people living on an island that is 125 miles long east to west and 35 miles wide north to south.

everything is imported to the island and the garbage stays there. there are only 9 landfills on the island and they are filling up rapidly.

so, the puerto rican people are deeply offended by the remark made at the racist madison square garden rally.

the ironic thing about the remark is that there are 475,000 puerto ricans living in the important swing state of pennsylvania and dumb fuck trump and co just insulted them right before the election.

there are over 3 million puerto ricans living in the US right now who are also offended.

and a huge percentage of the hispanic population in general is also offended because they are used to being treated like second class citizens by the republican party and see this gaffe as just another example of the racism that is pervasive throughout the trump base.

Just the other day Kamala said she would send back illegal migrants in one sentence. And then a few minutes later talked about providing a path to citizenship. So which is it? It's pretty obvious she will say anything to get the votes. I can't trust anything that side says anymore.

probably means path towards citizenship for asylum/refugees, and the people who have been living here illegally for years. yet turning away/deporting new illegal immigrants.

you interpret what people say and put their original quotes into your own language and thereby misquote them. i believe it is intentional.

here is what she actually said, "I don't believe people who disagree with me are the enemy," Harris said. "He wants to put them in jail. I'll give them a seat at the table."

nowhere in her statement does she say she'll always listen to trump supporters and give them a seat at the table.

although she may have meant it to be inclusive of trump supporters, why do you feel compelled to put your own twist on it?
