Thanks Bombay!
I love that tray and have had it for years now. I should give it a spin in the sink as I see it is getting a bit grimey. Bamboo is good.

The green is some Panama x GG4 ril (thank you Ace and Tony Green)
The hash might look a touch green too but it looked pretty pale blonde when I mashed it.
Its a collection of everything that fell through my tim-bin the past few weeks as I've been taking plants and trimming as they are dry. I saved the trimmings from the recent plants all in a turkey bag and then ran the lot over the screen lightly a few times after separating the stems out. Just to increase the final collection w/o over-doing it too much and get too much plant material in there. I will take the trim and sift it again for some more collection or put away until I have a lot of it and do it all at once. Sometimes during winter I will take all my trim and run it through the trim-bin outside on my porch if the humidity is low and it isnt too windy. Freezing or just above freezing is great for making the resin heads brittle but it also can make the plant material brittle too. Ive noticed that working in the cold and with pre chilled trim the collection happens faster and with less agitation. I like to take whatever Im going to sift and put t in the freezer for an hour or so prior to the sifting but it's not necessary especially if the air is very dry low humidity.

The piece you see up there is just pressed in the palm with my thumb for a minute and then mashed together. If its good sift it will stick together easily.

Id say if you trim all your stuff dry over a screen you would easily have ten times that right there. The leaves and stems alone actually have a good amount of trichs. I'm always amazed how much sift I can get out of what looks like garbage, second rate material for edibles even. You can scope the collection as you go to see how the purity is doing.

How do you normally trim, before the hang and dry or after?

Hey Chrono thank you for sharing with me how to do this. I usually let it hang to dry then trim. I usually discard the trimming.
I trim over the kitchen table and never get those trichs as you have. Perhaps l.am not growing it well enough or not enough plants? It would be fun to smoke some of that. Is it more potent? Did you see the new ACE strain?

Plants are STILL going.

Hope all is well and thank you again for explaining that process to me.

Hello Everyone,

This is my 2024 grow. It is made up of three ACE seed strains. I am unsure which is what because I had trouble germinating seeds. In the process of trying to get the seeds to germinate they got mixed up. It may have been because they were too old. (2019). I'll include a pic of the seeds that didn't germinate. Very unusual for ACE seeds and probably something l did. This seasons germination occurred over a period of 2 months and hence the late grow.

Moreover, the intervals between each seed popping was weeks apart. I started the process in April.

One of them, the largest(panama?), looked pretty normal from my grow experience. The other two started out as miniatures? and grew slowly. Very unusual. Again this could be due to my limited experience.

Could one be Bangi Haze. I so wanted to try this but l don't think any of the seeds popped. Unsure. Panama or panama congo mix. Golden Tiger. I'll check for other seeds l tried to germinate.

Notwithstanding, here is this years mystery grow. The largest plant eats more N than l thought possible. I am constantly ammending the soil with Gaia Green all purpose and Gaia fish meal. Really incredible amounts used and still yellowing. Is it lockout? I PH water to about 6.5 each time.

The other 2 are taking normal amounts.

The largest plant is about 6 weeks in flower. The other 2 are at about 3 weeks.

Any guesses welcome! View attachment 19097089 View attachment 19097093
That's potassium deficiency. The yellow edges on lower leaves, and burnt tip above. Remember Ca and Mg can make K less available. The Ca and Mg in the Gaia is probably just making K harder to access. I wouldn't be too worried about pH in organic soil.

Also, next time don't pluck the dying leaves. If you do the plant will just start cannibalizing other leaves.

Thank you for that info. It is typically what has been happening with my (limited) grows using similar soil and Gaia. Also l will leave the leaves on. All the fan leaves are mostly gone. So should l compensate by adding additional P?

It wants K more than P. I use Langbeinite when I need more Mg and K, or potassium sulfate if I only want the K. They both contain sulfates too. The sulfates can help balance things out by attaching to excess cations and helps flush them out.

Thank you. Hey that's really cool...er.. warm! Is this why some folks use those strips of red diodes(?). There would also be more actual heat which would be great.

The buds are getting heavier and l have to wire them up! They smell is like menthol and .... my ability to describe smells is lacking. I just love the smell though. I would wear it as a cologne and add hints of cucumber. Obviously for daytime. We all know that citrus and pine make your night fine. There's room in the market for both colognes l believe.
Lemon scent in cannabis is more related to uplifting high rather than couchlock and pine is in many sativa who are not couchlock neither.

Glad to hear the plants are still kicking it!

As you get near to chop consider posting a pic or two in one of the Ace strain threads. Dubi can tell you better when is good to chop. He's always quick to respond with some helpful steering in the right direction. I'm in a similar boat with my Panama. I got a new phone so I lost my notes on when I flipped it. It's looking a bit worn out but still has clear trichomes, wont stop throwing pistils but it is winding down. Every day I want to take it, but I hold off. I too, should ask the maestro.

I know it sounds like I'm selling trim-bins but before I started using one I did not realize how many trich heads were floating around. When everything is done over the trim-bin it adds up all in the same place and can be scraped into a pile. The hash I get from it is very enjoyable and when pressed it can give off that classic hashish aroma that I love and remember. If I wanted to do it right I would start with a decent amount of good quality sift, dry it thoroughly and let sit for a few months to a year before pressing. Aged sift that wont stick together when freshly collected will start to gum up over time. As the trichome wall starts to break down it releases the oil trapped inside. Similar to when you press it, the resin and oil are squashed out of the trichome heads and makes it all stick together. This would be close to traditional hashish.

I mostly just smoke it as I get it, its great that way and sure does pack an extra punch.
I like to add a bit to a joint, either loose sift mixed in with flower or sometimes I'll take a bit and roll it into snakes to add to the middle of a joint. Gets me lit and I can tell it influences my tolerance. If I smoke enough of it, the next day I have a harder time getting fully blasted.

Which new Ace strain? I saw a few days ago something called African Gas and my jaw nearly hit the floor. The descriptions had me drooling.

Thank you for this insight and ammendment. I will factor this in for my next grow and try for a more balanced soil mixture. I like the double duty of the sulphates.

Thank you again.

That's really a cool idea on both counts. I'm going to look for one. I also need to get another fan as we discussed.

That would be really cool 😎 if l could get some of that from the plants l grow. It sounds great on the high, smell and taste department!

Yes, Dubi for sure. Mine are still going strong. I don't see any amber and just the reflowering you mention. I wonder if it will be like the PHxM at the end.

It's called Rush of Siam and the description reads like a fever dream. Lemony scent even. I need to acquire some of those needs. They would be so awesome to try and grow.

Worse case off to Spanibus. :). Has Spain had it with visitors tho or just Barcelona? Such a lovely country and I would love to see some of that Moorish architecture in person.

The Pillars are spectacular 👌 ✨🙌

Hope all is well.

Those trichs and coverage are looking fantastic especially pic 2 is thick with it. Mouth watering ...

Lemon can be found in Panama and Im finding it in the Panama x gg4 ril as well.

Rush of Siam sounds incredible. Having grown the zam x kali china I know it will be good and I don't doubt its a step up but in the same direction. Full on haze effect with a short flower time and manageable structure? I'm in! I'll take a chance on that.

Seeing a part of europe and that art/architecture while on a quest for ganja really would be amazing ....
... how many people with a head full of hash have been mesmerized by those resonant patterns in the sacred geometry over the ages ....
