They have some hardy strains for sure. Ask PANIKZ. He'll tell you which ones are north hardy.

Many Canadians growers keep their favorites around for years. Who knows where they come from.

Last year I used a couple hundred Jiffy-7 Peat Pellets (the normal ones) as a test. They worked out well in that I didn't have to worry about spilling pots and could carry lots at one time. To my surprise, the plants grew well in my seed plot.

They come in different sizes so this year I'm using 50mm Peat Pellets almost exclusively.

Subed . I love the look of thoes nl autos amd semi autos :tiphat:

Thanks. They're a little unruly when given space because they get top heavy, but they're fun to grow as long as they get a little support.

I have to figure out how I'm going to keep them upright without hauling a huge pile of bamboo into the site. Maybe some type of scrog on a row? Still have to think that one out.

I cut one down accidentally with the lawn tractor last year and damn if it didn't branch out. I might roll that dice on some.

I make sticks from rowan for support, it's nice and bendy. And grows everywhere round these parts, too. Tie em top heavy shits to them sticks with coated metal wire, it's good 'cause you can make big loops for the plants to grow into. Army green plastic coating also super stealthy.

So yea, no need to haul bamboo if ya got woods there. Just get some wire and a sharp, big ass knife, and make sticks and thing :)

You did a bang up job! BTW What size pots are they in?

Thanks man, I was really impressed since it was my first time growing autos lol. They have tremendous vigour and solid self supporting structure, make great buds with a nice spacy sativa high. Those were grown in 3 gallon fabric pots 10 inch tall by 8 inch diameter, I only filled the pots with 6 inches deep of soil by 8 inch diameter so 2 gallons total of soil. I germinated the seeds indoors and planted them in the pots outdoors to sprout naturally and foliar fed them lightly from sprouts. The shortest one on the left was 7 feet and other taller ones around 10 feet from top of soil in that picture above.

Here is an example of what the rootballs looked like in the 6 inch deep 2 gallons of soil:

I've had them start flowering as 3 week seedlings, but most will start at 5-6 weeks from seed. I haven't stabilized them yet so a few males will surprise you well after you think your safe. In the ground on June 1st, you can expect flowering to start after 3 weeks and harvested end of August. Some were ready beginning of august. The Thai parent is dominant, so thin leaves, tall, and sativish bud structure which is not very dense, but more than you'd think. Plant structure is very Indica in that it has very short and thick branching.

One plant.

I had a 900 (about) plant run last year and ended up with roughly 400 girls. She'll stretch to high heaven if there's anything next to her, and will outrun corn like Usain Bolt would outrun you. In the ground, the more you feed her, the more she'll flower. You can harvest 30% start/mid August (so 12-13 weeks from seed). The rest can be pulled in September if you keep feeding it. I only found one bud with dry rot in the whole crop.

Indoor, she needs head room. But she does respond to topping (once) as long as she hasn't started flowering, and I've had to super crop (bend) her because she just keeps stretching. She'll flower under 24/7 lights, but at 10 weeks you should drop lighting under 20hrs because she has re-veged on me mid flower under all that light (semi auto remember?).

I have to mention a dwarf pheno that appears 1 in 20-30. It's *very dark green and very short and very Indica. Want a little bonsai? This is it. Perfect balcony plant. I haven't found a male dwarf but I managed to get feminize seed from it via STS. As you can imagine, you don't get a lot of seed from a 12-14 inch plant. I'll grow a few out this summer to see if it holds. If it does, I'll have to seed it quick because it's ready to harvest about 2 months from seed. If I leave them in the ground, that means about 8 weeks to get mature seed. Hope they live that long. I had to let the momma die standing.

Smoke report? Finally, I'm not a smoker (lol) but the wife is. And long gone are the days where she says something just to stroke my ego. Her words, not mine "Now this is an award winner".
