While march 19 isn't a good time to plant, you'd be wise to start planning for it.

I'm making auto fem seeds at the moment and will start a photo fem seed run this week. That's 2 weeks of veg time and a flip to flower. So that run should be ready to harvest by mid April.

I'll be starting the first Auto seedlings April 1st, the second May 1st, and the last June 1st. Photoperiod seeds will be popped mid April.

Half will go out mid May hoping for a frost free start. No risk, no glory.

Numbers are fluid, but from the size of the surveyed locations so far, I should be good for a few.

I'll be string trimming and getting holes ready with water crystals and amendments as soon as the spots begin to dry out a bit. But not too much because I want the crystals to fill with that life giving water. I don't plan on watering except for the spots with the scummy pond.

I'll be using a 5 inch drill auger to dig my holes this year because the 3 inch is a little too small and too much work at planting time.

Bigger is better

I'll also be spreading seed balls this year which should be fun. I'd like to thank the ministry of natural resources for giving me the needed clay when they dug out the drainage ditches on crown land. Lol

I have yet to try Seed Bombs.

I would throw them out the same week all the snow melted and the soil is still damp. It's when I plan to sow my clover seeds.

Found this pic a while back and saved it. I would substitute the compost in the formula with Triple Mix. :tiphat:

I'm aiming for 100. But if I get more, bonus.

I've had spots completely razed by mice, rabbits and deer. So... just call it insurance.

Besides, It's my summer hobby.

Fill 4 one or two gallon containers with milk, eggs, garlic cloves, blood meal and water.
Place them on all 4 side of your patch and bury to ground level.

Don't blame me if the deer, rabbits and other herbivores hate you afterwards.

I know they hate me here. The stuff may attract predators.

Like the pack of coyotes that chased me out of the bush 2 years ago? They had me surrounded and all I had with me was a little pair of Fiskars. Here's one that a local farmer shot 3-4 weeks later.

Coyotes are normally shy animals here and don't let you get too close. Smoke some weed next time they come close.
I also make little fires to scare animals away. There was a den of them not too far from one grow spot this year. I could
hear the pups when they parents brought food.

The ones around here have a real set of balls on them. I've been surrounded myself while out in the dark and it's nerve wracking. Lots of peoples pets have been going missing...

I have some critical mass autos going guessing 3 weeks tops from being done is it too late to apply sts? Also both components I've had for atleast 3 yrs never used just kept in fridge or I could make some cs and use that.

I think it takes about 3-4 weeks to get viable pollen, so you're a little late. I'd just let them finish and enjoy the smoke. But you still have time before springtime to start another plant for seed and you'll be able to collect pollen for future use (you can freeze it for years).

Feminizing a plant so she pollinates herself is time sensitive in that you have to wait for flowering to start with visible buds starting, then spray lightly on the nodes, then wait another 3-4 weeks for pollen, then you have to let the seeds mature. And if you spray too much, which is what almost everyone does, your plant ends up exploding with pollen sacs and very little flower to seed. With CS you have to spray, and we say "spray" with STS, but a few ICMag members like Douglas.Curtis, Cvs and others have had fantastic success using a simple dropper on the nodes. I sprayed one late and had to work hard to keep it alive long enough to get some seed. Even then, only half were good. But I collected a shit load of pollen. lol

Separate STS components (2) stored properly should last a long long time. Once combined not as long. That said, I still had some remain viable after 9 months, but the silver was starting to precipitate.

I suggest you read Douglas.Curtis' thread on STS. It's a great thread with lots of good input from a lot of people. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=357407.
