Had a few Panama x Malawi to show and one pic of a stretchy Mauritius x Ethiopian. Panama x Malawi has a pine mint smell and flavor like popping a pack of trainwreck. MxE was all mint and some lemongrass with little pine. All of the top pics are Panama x Malawi. The stretchy one is the Mauritius x Ethiopian and it had less pine and a little lemon anise added in.

It's always a great to chance to compare Malawi/Panama and Panama/Malawi in the same grow, looking forward to know your opinion after hravest time, also about the new Mauritius x Ethiopian.

Panama x Malawi was more mint and pine. Malawi x Panama was more spice and citrus cedar. Both are very frosty. I think what we call panalawi seems to flower a bit faster and with heavier yield. The Mauritius x Ethiopian are very lanky and take forever to start flowering. It doesn’t seem to want to finish and has been flowering since June. It has the most mint nose and the least smelly of them. She has no ceiling. When the others seem to stop feeling high that one will set you straight. Almost too anxious. I am going to put them in for a cure and will report back in a month and see if it still make me feel like I’m spinning.

Hi Feb2006er,

Your feedback is really on par with my personal experience with these 3 F1 hybrids.
Panama x Malawi is better yielding and flowers faster in average than Malawi x Panama,
Panama x Malawi aromas are usually sweeter, with the unmistakable lemony/incensey aromas of Panama Goddess in the forefront in most of the plants.

Malawi x Panama is more Malawi dominant and therefore the aromas are usually more
spicy and woody, although it also produces a dark incense aroma. Both are extremely powerful and resinous, Malawi x Panama is in average more mind blowing than Panama x Malawi although i slightly prefer the terpenes, effects and more balanced traits of Panama x Malawi.

The new Mauritius x Ethiopian limited edition is as you have experienced it, it's an extremely tropical untamed pure sativa hybrid, lanky and long flowering. As stated in the official description of the strain, the effect has no ceiling, it's very uplifting and accelerated, nice to hear you are finding minty aromas in this hybrid, minty terpenes are rare, and i love them in my cannabis plants when i rarely find them. Aromas in Panama hybrids are usually very pungent, while Mauritius and Ethiopian have much more discreet and less intense classic pure sativa aromas. Both Mauritius and Ethiopian were slightly hermie as we received them, i took time to find the best non hermie parental plants in their P2 breeding/selection stage, but still being close to the original P1 generation occasional hermies cannot be discarded, especially if they have had stress during flowering.

Congrats also on the Golden Tiger harvest She is without any doubt a Thai dominant pheno based on flowering structure, with of course the malawi resins. How are her aromas in late flowering and during curing process ?

The Panama x Malawi is one I should have put back into veg. There are real keepers in those. The golden tiger is the nastiest rotten fruit funk smell and flavor I’ve come across. A little spice to it but more fruit. The high is like a round with Mike Tyson in his prime. Your head will be buzzing and ringing for a long time after. She was able to be brought back into veg and I’m very happy. Dubi you make things hard for us growers because you keep making new incredible strains. I want to get Panama and golden tiger breeders packs some day.
