ok, i will keep her going until next year. :)
i am just using the strains that the milkman brought me.
he did not know she was in a community challenge.

yes, i have fed her bio fertilizer. she is still yellowing but better than before.

I got some spare time to enjoy a joint off the dead swa_1 plant, i can say it's amazing, smoked about half a gr, was more than enaugh to make me uber high. like, after editing this pic for 10 minutes while puffing the last 1/3 of my joint, i opened the broser to come to icmag.com. and, in those 2-3 secons it took for the moment I realised I need to go to ic till the moment i opened the broser and it loaded I completely forgot what website should i type in. :muahaha:
This high I got from swa_1 makes me think swa 3 will be killer weed if the plant makes it for a bit more. Still not sure she will gonna make it, but there's almost 5 % amber trichomes on the upper buds buds. Since the last 2-3 waterings were with plain water, I will continue this till she ripens or decides to quit taking water, like her sister.

As you can see in the pic, the roots don;t look that bad, but soil was too soggy in the middle, smell of soil is muddy, but that type of muddy smell you would find in a bog. No water was passing from the top of the pot through the growing medium, and she wasn't uptaking much from the tray as well. I managed to put her upside down on some perlite while checking the cup to see how are the roots, so I only got one of the tops to smoke (under 2 gr including stem) that was't touched by perlite. And that is the top I am smoking right now and getting so high to write such a long post for a picture I was due to present.

later.edit: I should also report that smell of the buds of both plants are smelling frutty, mango-ish.. with a hint of a fine mix of fresh cut grass smell and skunk. Breaking up the buds when rolling gives up so much perfume in the air, it is like having a plate of ripe diced mango with a splash of freshly squeezed lime juice over it. < This phrase was added last and took me 20 minutes to write.. I am way too high right now. Hope you guys are having as well. I'm gonna roll another joint and pass me out to sleep.

Almost forgot to post the pic.. A BIT OF ROOTPORN, not the best kind of it, tho.. < Let's see who gets this 'mindbender' that came to me on the spot. :)

Mmmmm, sounds yummy mr. Dynamite. Only the good die young and she sounds like a good girl.

I am worried about my yogi. The other plants have grown 5 times her size. The other 2 plants have nice baby finger sized florettes but yogi is still the same size, still only one white hair and still yellow stripy leaves. I put guano powder on them all last weekend and fed them all with liquid guano & bio veggie nutrients.
I just can't seem to get the watering right with her. She stays too wet with the big rock wool base and I see only one white root making it out to the soil at the sides and bottom of the cup. I tried to let her dry out last night and woke up at 3 am thinking she was wilting, ran to the cellar, she was fine. Got up again early this morning to catch the light cycle and gave her a small drink.
Should I be watering from the tray instead of from above to get these roots into the soil layer for more of a balanced diet?

Update on my Dutch Passion Skunk #11. Two days late on my usual update. Was busy chopping my 28 week pheno Green Haze but now the Skunk #11 is in the middle receiving max light. She is on week 5 day 2 of 10/14 and about to start overdrive for 12 days. After that I will flush for 3-4 days then chop her. 4-5 days to dry then one week of curing and finally end with a smoke report on May 26-28th. Beautiful looking plants everyone. Only 22 days left before time is up .

those look AMAZING!

@garuda,
i like the way you used the 'jiffy' and sat it on top of the yogi cup to add extra rootball mass.
i will try that next time.
rockwool-no
jiffy 7's- yes

@dr. king,
is that huge plant suspended over a watering bucket?

@exploziv,
top 10 favourite posts on this whole site!

so i called in the big guns last night...
'dear, what are you up to now?'
(i know i am in trouble when he calls me 'dear')
he seems to think that the clear plastic pot is letting the light burn the new roots as the move out to the sides of the pot.
i will see what i can rig up to cover the pot.

i have seen some improvement since trying to dry her out.
there are new roots shooting into the bottom of the pot and the flower cluster is noticeably bigger just over one nights cycle.
i moistened the tray under her but she was not sitting in any direct water,
then i gave her a proper drink before the lights went out this morning.

i feel like one of those marathon runners that makes it to the finish line when the event staff is taking down the banners and packing up. ;)
she should finish at the end of june if she stays healthy and happy.

What about that muddy smell in the BOG??

idk about that. If I had anything from a grow where the soil is off it definitely taste like pond water. Result of something negative starting to take hold. I've been given some cherry pie that tastes like your eating dirt. Great looking buds though, but this is a yogurt cup contest!!!!! Lol still you pulled it off!!!

keep on keepin on (Joe dirt)

Here she is, next to her half sisters of the project I'm crossing:

The half sisters are the same genetics, different F1 females, same F1 daddy.

Here's a close up of the yogi girl:

She's thick. Who doesn't like a thick lady?. lol.

Cherry fuel, sour too. Lots of genetics coming into play here.
I can only imagine these plants under some 600's.

She'll get the chop sooner than later.

Sadly its not working that way, almost everything above ground level gets dried out :) I put it on top since the Jiffy-soil isn't as good as Lightmix :)

Appreciate the tips on adding support . Oh I had that planned out no worries but thanks. I just added twist ties around the bottom net over top of the cup on both sides. Was waiting till I added Overdrive to add support. That net might not look like alot but it was keeping it in place very tightly. Fan speed 3 on max wouldn't even move it.

@dr. king, is that huge plant suspended over a watering bucket?

Yes I just used two 5 gallon buckets, flipped one upside down and one straight up so the ends meet. Used gorilla tape on the buckets to keep them tight on one another so neither bucket moves. Drilled a few holes for drainage so I can just water from there. It was the only good way I could think of getting her closest to the lights and only costed 8 bucks.

Goodluck to everyone!

Just before the chop:

Wet weight:

picture.php

So after this dries and as it goes to the jar to sweat should have
3 grams +/-. Pretty good for such a small container under low watts.

You may wonder that my yields are low, even for micro. I'll be
honest and admit that my grows are really just for fun.

I basically just try not to kill them before harvest, lol.

Lots of great info and plants this round, kudos to all who participated.

that exciting day has arrived. almost. i'm gonna officially chop it later tonight or in the morning. wanna get pics of the roots too. post those later.

here she is in all her 10 inches of glory. SourStrawberryHaze(Strawberry Cough-KKSCxSSSDH) aka Deez. 63 days. and done. usually i go a couple more days and let her swell some more. but she's done at 60.

she never really packed on much weight, but she came out deliciously.she's perfect minus the weight dept. this was an experiment of sorts also to help me dial this strain in my environment. i finally got her down pat. next run is gonna be awesome.
