Hi There, :tiphat:

I just want to say hello to all Outdoor Growers; this is my first attempt at growing under the Big Halide:: Im running 1 Mandala Sadhu and 1 Growzone Mix i got as a freebie, both females, all the way from seed, got them outside by late November, they are doing fine, i am doing some LST and supercropping,

Im here to meet growers worldwide , specially people growing under extreme conditions, harsh weather, and extremely short seasons,

greetz, MValley.-

These are from my garden, in mid December, when I put them in soil (plain soil + a few amendments, perlite, worm castings, sheep manure, a little bone meal) they used to get light from 10 to 20 everyday, now days are getting shorter, I dont know how it will turn out to be late in the season but i hope they are ready before the rains get here in early April.-

I got some serious issues with bugs eating my plants, had to spray them with some diatomite, until the growth pace got fast enough, on the left Mandala Sadhu (strong spicy odour, the biggest fan leaves ive ever seen), right Growzone Mix (dutch hybrid, possibly ak47, fruity smelling, smaller fan leaves, lighter green) She got supercropped while trying to LST her, the main stalk snapped, I did some research and decided to let it be like that.... At the moment Im feeding every other watering with Open Sesame and some Fulvic Acid at minimum doses, new growth appears somewhat lighter-green than the old, maybe some Mg or N def., im getting a EC & PH meter + 200x microscope soon!! All the best and hope you enjoy this thread, feel free to say hello and I´ll keep you updated, Peace! MValley.-

These I took this afternoon:::

That main stalk should recover without problems. Your plants look really good. Slight yellowing could be that the plant is growing a bit faster than the soil can deliver N, maybe? Don't add too much N/growth fertilizer when the plant is close to preflowering though. It might delay it.

For pests and bugs I have recently discovered Neem oil. It's from a tree and it contains natural hormones and insect repellants. Harmful insects pretty much become sterile as they bite into the neem covered plant. Beneficials aren't affected, or not directly, maybe through eating too much affected insects I dunno... It also works against nematodes and fungi. And if you buy the crude oil you can easily mix up an insecticide with it yourself for a low cost - you do need insecticidal soap too to get it to dissolve. Maybe an idea for if the diatomite doesn't work out...

another thing about need is if that it's systematic and if you water your plants the roots suck it up and the pest dont come around as much.

Thanks Folks, the neem oil tip is appreciated, bugs seem to be under control, the plant are thriving, earwigs ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earwig) used to munch on them when they were young & tender, nowadays they are not so tender and the foliage is abundant, maybe the thc content is already getting the insects stoned, I tell you since i found a bee standing on a preflower a couple of days ago and it seemed to me (well maybe it´s just my imagination) she was totally f*cked up, hehe! anyways, heres an update, pretty rainy weather this week, peace & cheers to you All!

awesome,

you may want to support those low lying branches a bit, perhaps a few rocks underneath them to stand them up. I say this only b/c once they start to flower the weight will pull them down to the ground, and you dont want all your hard work in the mud!

Looks like you have them well attached to the wiring system, are the stakes there for later wiring usage? Like you could lay or "pin" the branches over as they grow out. Looks like you are familiar with scrogs, yeah looks awesome

hi Folks!, thanks a lot for showing up! Im familiar with LST as I have done a couple indoor grows before , SCROG has always fascinated me, and I took some inspiration from it, I was about to take some pictures today but my camera ran out of battery, so far my dutch hybrid (right) is really taking off, and flowering , my Sadhu it seems is the sativa-leaning pheno so it will take a couple of days more, no sign of flowering yet (f*ck it ) tomorrow i´ll post some pictures, the canopy is almost ready, the plants are getting around 5hs of direct sunlight, greetz & peace to you All! Hi People, just to keep you all updated, temperatures are dropping down a bit, specially at night, its been a rainy week, no signs of mold whatsoever but I´ll keep my eyes open, I prepared the soil using vermicompost, peat moss, sheep manure, and once the first signs of flowering appeared I sprayed them with 2 low doses of Delta9 (cannabiogen) and Open Sesame, thats it, the dutch hybrid really exploded after fertilization, not the same with Mandala´s Sadhu which seems to be breeded differently, it is my third attempt at growing mandalas´strains (twice indoors, satori & 8 miles high) and nonetheless the plants are beautiful they seem too picky on PH and feeding, Im doing my best to keep it up with the breeder but this time I tried Sadhu and I got the sativa pheno which is not showing signs of flowering yet, I have always got better results with generic Nirvana or HQ Seeds, probably next time I´ll try ACE Seeds, Im sorry to say that but Mandala is not doing the trick for me... Here are some pictures, Peace to you All! PS: I lollipoped all the sucker shoots and little buds growing under the canopy but left most of the fan leaves, anyone has an opinion on that matter? should I remove the fan leaves also?? MV.-

I have understood that you are asking about removing the big leaves to allow the sun shine the lower buds, If it's so, I recommend you only to bend the plant, but not to remove the leaves, she will lose them when she has used all the nutrients or when don't need them...

Nice girl you have!
