Male selection:
I finnaly decided to cull all five of the C99 males and just keep branches with balls from the ones I like. I'm not pretending to be an expert I just follow a few simple rules when selecting them. Strength of smell being major factor. Also I like the swealing on the branch nodes which could mean stronger branch support for the outdoor. But hey ... who am I kidding ... Wally Duck did the job already.
I tossed the fastest male and the one with very pour odour. GF helped with sniffing them out. She has a much better nose
(Lasko, I kept 1, 2 and 5)
Smelly male
Sticky male
Pollen collecting
