As is the way with many canna-celebs........most people seem to love them or hate on them........I must say that Aryan has always been one of the most pro-active and progressive of them all........He's definately got his act together and I thank him for offering us a place to enjoy the cup this year once again........in a 'state of the art' coffee shop.....

In the past I have had my doubts and concerns regarding Aryan.......but over-all his personality shines thru........and his generosity is obviously evident.......He is a larger than life type of character and within this industry someone that makes it happen like he does is a bonus to us all......

Yeah, I agree Gypsy, Arjan may have his detractors (and I'm often critical of him I have to admit) but he is engaging and charming in person and you can't argue with the way he actually gets stuff done, there are a lot of people who talk about doing things but not many who get them done.

Maybe we should appoint ONE person to take all the official pics so that it is easy to make sure there are plenty of pics without worrying about people's faces being plastered all over the net.

The only official photographers are IC Mag staff. As in the past, it's best to have a blanket policy of no photos permitted of other attendees. IC Mag has extensive photo editing programs that permits us to alter any pics or video we take so as not to compromise anyone's security.

*When out and about on your own, away from the venue, and should another state they are okay with having their pic taken, then that is a matter between those parties...but would always suggest that there not ever be pics taken of others faces.

Thanks!

I like the venue.
Looks like it'll be a good year this year. Hope it'll be as much fun as that party we had at Hunters Bar a couple of years back. :jump:

Well,well....
What a Nice Thing for Arjan to do....
That's two years....he's really shone through, and though I despise a certain over- commercialized element of the way he does things,I have to admire him for being so very pro-movement.
One of these days,I'm going to ask him how one,not Dutch, can buy a coffeeshop,(or) perhaps he's forgotten about one of his,he has so many, and wants to trade me one for some clones?
(The Greenhouse,Reservoir, has a nice ring to it!) :D
Nice shop,too-looks like my living room, minus the fish...the koi are a swank touch in a time when other coffeeshops are said to be touch-and-go.... perhaps a fish tank in the H2 stretch is next? :D
Seriously, imo it's a damn swell thing to do, and it'll be fun competing against Greenhouse this year,I just wish I could be there!

Cheers!

**As far as cameras go,I'd break someone's legs for aiming one at me....nicely.

I have a bunch of pictures of last year's event, none of them apart from one have anyone's face in, apart from one guy who was smoking the huge Kiwi Seeds joint and I asked him first, he was Dutch so he didn't give a fuck and ended posing for several pics!

It's amazing how many pictures I have of people's torsos with the heads out of frame, just headless bodies holding big lumps of bid mostly! lol

Rez, if you ever do buy a coffeeshop, I'll come work for ya!

How about calling it Reservoir Dawgs and specialising in buds with some Chemdawg in em?

so is that new greenhouse over by ratty's breakfast bar then? looks pretty plush and the service couldn't be any worse than barneys ehehe
just a nooberino question, but it has been playing on my mind, please don't laugh but...with the issue of internet anonymity etc, when the ic crew get together what's the protocol for names? i guess the regulars all know each other anyhow but do you go by first names rather than screen-name or do we all become someone else for the weekend? stoopid question i know, but i don't wanna be puttin my foot in it as a 420virgin...flame away hehe

yeah B_H i know it prolly sounds like a total-noob question but i was just curious...i guess you guys mostly know each other anyhow but i wondered if using screen-names might make it easier for some rat to put face to grow-diary if ye get my drift...lols hazy i'm not planning many early mornings in my 3'n'a bit days so we should be cool-feckin flight gets in before 9 on the 19th so that's my one and only early start

Well, last year was my first time and I didn't know how to deal with the names thing, not sure how I will this year to be honest, I feel stupid introducing myself as 'British Hempire' it's not my name, after all!

...Takes me back....
The first time I was in A'Damm,as 'Rez'....
Son of a bitch....that was rough....like I was deaf....lol...it took me three or five days to get into it,and now, seriously,I can introduce myself by any name ( I have many these days) and answer to it immediately, thanks to the 'Rezdog' pseudonym, and my experience with it.
When I'm in A'Damm for events,I count on friends to introduce me to people that matter, the rest happens by sheer karmic chance, just the way I like it.
You can try a "Hello My Name Is" name tag,but people might think you're a narc, roflmao!

Cheers!

Actyually, name tags with forum handles on sounds like a great idea, save all that awkward 'so who are you onlie' hoopla!

Rez's can say summat like 'If you need to ask....'

Actually, Rez can just walk about with a chewdawg hug around his neck on a chain! lol

That would be funny as hell, Rez walking round the Greenhouse with a bobblehead round his neck!

It's been mostly online handles the last years. You get used to it after a while. And with users coming from all over the world, it's actually easier that way than having to work your mind around (never mind pronouncing them!) some of the real names. :biglaugh:

Once you know everyone it's easy. Once you've met Hazy anyway, you'll know which one he is before he introduces himself. :muahaha:

The head of the Arjan bobblehead would first have to be surgically lightened, the Chinese factory filled the top half of it with lead,in hopes of poisoning cannabis aficionados.... :D

Thing is, Arjan can take it, I'm sure it's like water off a duck's back to him. If you call yourself The King of Cannabis you have to accept you're gonna get some ribbing from folks.
