Welcome to my little outdoor nothing fancy just 4 strains and 12 plants the strains chosen this year were grape ape goo silver spur and a mystery purple strain that makes a purple hash. We used the black gold all organic mix you could plant a 2x4 in this stuff and it would probably grow, the plants got put outdoors around the 14th of may then went from there 2 gal pots directly into there premixed pots of black gold with extra perlite and chicken

pics - late may / early june

those bags look pretty big, those plants must be monsters by now.

Tirs each bag has about 6 cubic ft of soil , looking back a few more bags probably would have made a big difference in the size of some of the plants but since these plants arent going to be going full season i figured we could get away with having them in somthing slightly smaller . The roots got fed once every three days with ethier iguana juice grow or met allso used quite a bit of seaweed/kelp for both root and folior feedings . Once every couple of weeks piranah and tarantula were added to the top soil via a salt and pepper shaker ,i used to mix that stuff in the res but ive been getting good results just mixing it into the top soil works for me anyways .

Heres two pictures about a month apart first one is mid june second is 30 days later .

Those girls sure are showing some explosive growth!

Do you ever have problems with the bags tipping when they're that big?

Looking forward to seeing those girls in a few weeks.

In june some of the plants were tied down to give the plants a wider profile

heres a pic of the goo june 15 the day it was tied down

and here it is about 30 days later -july 15

the purple was not tied down heres a pic of the purple - june 14

more purple - july 6

the purple was probably toped about 3-4 times in the first few weeks you can allso see the runt of the garden in the last picture , it was a last minute replacement that was in week one of flower it had allready got 7 days 12 -12 and watered once with bloom before it went out , not the perfect replacement but its what we had available at the time .

Well the original plan was to flip them the first week of july but plans change and we got a little bit of a later start this year .

Heres some pictures from week one of flower -

and a shot from the side

It takes two people 15 minutes to pull the tarp into place, i mounted a few wheels on the corners and in the middle to help it slide on and off a little more freely.

calicolio6: thanks but there are alot of things i wish i would have done differently for example i neglected to add chicken to some of the containers its hard to tell in the pictures but the ones that got the chicken added are more beefed up with bigger stocks and darker foliage overall they did better then the ones without , allso i ran out of perilite after about 3/4 of them had been planted , so theres about 4 of them that dry out a little slower then the rest . Have allso had gopher/ moles swim into a few of them no bottoms on the containers i was gonna put down some 1/4 inch wire mesh like i did last year but sense the ground is almost rock soild in that spot i hoped there would be not problems but that was not the case after it rained the ground softend up and they cruised on in . never quite got around to hooking up the drip system so they were all hand watered the whole time no big deal really , its just one of those little things that would have only taken minutes to set up but would have saved lots of our time and energy in the long run . Another example is waiting to long to stake up the branches been growing this same strain long enough to know that by week 4 all its branches are going to start leaning towords the ground and sagging like crazy, week 1-2 would have been a great time to tie them up but i hesitated and next thing you know its week 4 an buds are sagging all over the place , only have that problem with a couple of strains the grape seems to be able to hold itself up pretty good .

heres a couple shots from the back side and one of some of the nutrients ive been using

mr pyrex : planting them above the ground makes them easier to tend to you dont have to bend over as much , the soil underneath them has a ph of 8 which i think still caused some problems cause the roots tip grew into the ground . But overall they are easy to setup and easy to take down with little to no digging required , they dry out a bit faster then they would in the ground that helps me cause its allways alittle on the cool side here . The only tip i would have is make them as big as possible the bigger the container the bigger the plant . If i was going to grow a bunch of smaller plants i would probably put them in a couple of beds instead of a bunch of little pots .

couple of close ups from day 32 of 12/12 it seems like outdoor plants go into flowering alot faster then indoor plants when fliped mabye cause they are veging with few hours of sun or somthing . The first pic is the purple its fast and it allways goes purple smells like purple the second picture is the Goo ive had this one going outdoors for the last 5 years and ive yet to find a more potent strain the goo starts to trich up in week 2 and has very unique smell and flavor the yeild is not to shabby ethier .
