left would be topping a plant as per normal, using one of the 2 topps, as the rooted branch, as shown by the first picture i showed at the beggining of the topic.
right would be growing a single topped plant, bending over and burying the topp, to create the 2nd rootball.
the only problem in my eyes could be the first one side fills faster than the other.

I have a question though... is it really more efficient when you have roots forming in two places? I mean wont the roots fill the entire pot in any case? I've always imagined that the root-mass is directly proportional to the size of the container not from how many places it roots from? kinda rambling here but can you understand what I'm trying to ask? nevertheless it is a nice experiment and I wish you good luck!

il be using rectangular pots, so if i plant in the middle, large proportions of soil to the wider sides of the plant, will have un-used soil, with 2 rootballs, the surface soil and the deeper soil will all be penatrated with roots.

i got some good news, i dont have to wait for the reveg anymore, rather just have to wait for some seeds 
ive been selected by ojd to test one of his crosses he has nicknamed "titainium" which is titans haze x g13haze.
im looking forward to it, sounds like a very sativa cross to me.

i have to send £5 to sbay for postage, ill be sending the cash monday, then will hopefully have them by friday.
I might not be doing serp layering though, since this is a mostly sativa cross, it isnt going to help me for my insomnia so i might be doing a regular run of a couple of plants.
But i will be growing the titanium along side of some other clones.
but i WILL be doing the hog and serp layering on the grow afterwards.

thanks INH, usually have to grow indicas for my back also, but that has been getting better over the last month or so.
im going to try 6 plants in 7.5l pots, raise the outer 4 pots abit and try a ministadium.
6 plants and 1.5oz per plant is a 9oz harvest, which should tie my over till the next one, but im not going to shoot that high yet, will have to see at the end, according all goes well
atleast i hope so
