2 and a 1/2 foot plant in 3 gallon pot...

I have 3.... 2 foot and some odd inch plants all in 3 gallon pots and I'm about to send them into flowering......I'm wondering 2 things.

1. Is there going to be ample room in the pots for promoted flowering root growth?

2. One of the plants is about a foot or so away from the lights and I have no way of adjusting but heat from the halide is not an issue.....is it ok as long as it dosent touch....and will it grow that much more in flowering?

Any suggestions appreciated....along with comments....

1. 3 gallons is plenty of room for the roots. All my promix girls use 3 gallons of dirt.

2. That depends on the wattage of your light. If it's a 1000, then you'll need to figure something out (tie down, top again, etc). If it's a 400, not an issue.

Super crop when you switch to flower. You might have to do it as they stretch too.If the're growing fast...:)

I'm growing with 1 250 watt in the middle (14k) metal halide......and 2 accent 300 cfls on the side.....the metal halide seems to make the plants stretch quite a bit.....

I will have to look up how to super crop......1 of my plants is non-cropped......and has a beautiful Christmas tree shape......don't wanna mess that up.

Thanks for the help....

I let my halide run for random times on different days to simulate real outside situations......sometimes 5 hours.....sometimes 8 or 6......but the side lighting stays on all day.....and they are the soft white flowering bulbs........is this ok?

Sorry for the noob question.....But its been a while since I've flowered.
