he meant that light loses power to the square of the distance. a little less light is okay for younger plants though (at least in my case), so i usually dont bother adjusting the lights during the first few weeks of plant growth. high luminosity is most important during the period when plants develop flowers.. only then do they put on the mass where they can really use that kind of lighting, 600w per m² or more on a short distance (60cm or less)

nice man, those canna nutes get pricey dont they? I was thinking of switching to just maxibloom, drip-clean, koolbloom, and pos. cal-mag. Think that would work too?

yeah, good observation. dunno, my cam is 10MP or something, but it really doesnt cope with this kind of light well, you can hardly see any detail or depth effect. but rest assured, there will be some better pics for the harvest

the white hairs are a phenomenom that i encountered on cocos only - the plants tend to show some vegetative growth during the latter parts of the flowering cycle, and try to develop new buds on top of the old buds. thus, even 10 weeks in, there will be some white hairs on the top of the bud, while the lower area of the bud will appear perfectly normal

this has nothing to do with any other area of my setup, since i've been running the same specs on soil and havent had this problem at all

ive narrowed it down to a K deficiency, and it's been much worse during the first runs on this setup, when buds wouldnt mature properly.. now it's hardly a concern, i just remove the top of the bud and the rest is perfectly fine. i've battled this deficiency with good success by supplying more K (duh), but most importantly, watering more often (K has a lot to do with water balance), and a lower ph

i doubt i'd have any problems at all if i ran 1800 or 1200 watts in this space, but lots of light on a small area just demand more from the setup and the plants.. after all, what im running is 830w per m² at an average distance of 40-50cm (18 inches), and that is a lot of light

ah yes, and i can post a video of the room at flowering day 70 (just at harvest time). but only, ONLY if there is enough feedback. it's a nice vid, and in HD, and this isnt going to be free :p
