I sent a support message about my Chapin leakage yesterday. No reply yet. But speaking of spending money, that freakin thing cost too much $$$ to be leaking nutrient solution jah feel?

Totally worth every dime though, despite this leak in the road. Memes aside, being able to just sit in a chair and slowly water the back of that scrog is priceless.

It's leaking from right here. It's a really steady drip when the tank is pressurized, and a slower drip when it's not.

I'm still learning LED growing, but in the last week I kept feeling like I was seeing light bleaching on the 3 closest tops. I was definitely closer than 18 inches on these 3 tops. I was keeping the light pretty close because I was trying to maintain at least a bit of light penetration into the lowers of this beast. Like I have pointed out numerous times by now, I definitely feel like I over vegged this light. My goal for the scrog was branch out this plant, train an even canopy, and get good light penetration to the screen. I just vegged too long, and she stretched pretty good. I never intended to be this high off the screen, and there is no way I'm getting good penetration while maintaining a decent distance from the tops at this point. Plus I broke that main branch so this thing just didn't fill out to its potential.

The smart thing to do here is to raise the light and focus on the tops. Actually, the smart thing to do would be to put in a bigger light, but I am not putting more money into this tent build right now as I am focusing on my new cabinet. It actually has more square footage than this tent.

I just couldn't tell if I was actually seeing bleaching because of the lights and the room being really dark. I asked my buddy to look at them, but for some strange reason I asked my friend who only has one eye -- Oops. And he of course assured me it was just the light and the tops looked perfectly normal.

By today it was looking like light bleaching to me for sure. I took some blind pics with the lights off.

This top is faded compared to others that weren't getting as much light.

This top that was pretty close was showing the same fading, leaf curl, and some spotting.

I raised it all the way up. I'm just focusing on pulling some nice tops. I'm just getting back into gardening and this has been a long grow so mistakes have been made. Hopefully it doesn't finish up too bad though.

The light is now 12-13" off the bleached tops and a solid 18-20" off the lower tops.

I will fire this tent right back up again after this harvest for at least 1 more run before I move next year. No way do I only run one plant again though. I'll definitely run 4 plants next time and flip pretty quick.

Personal note. My mom was killed 1 year ago today. October 13th. Such an evil sounding day. That day sucked real bad, and that year definitely flew by. It's still really fresh for me. I am not even close to being done with the lawsuits yet. My lawyer is balls deep into some people at the moment.

Hmm, the pics aren't loading. Can you see 'em?
Maybe consider a foliar of some kind to get back to where you were before the tops started yellowing on you?

Sorry to hear about your mom. That's messed up. Having lost someone (the most important person in my world) in a brutal and untimely way was something I went through some years ago and I can concur- the time does fly by. It's gotten easier but I'll never get over it. Hang in there, peace and love come in unexpected ways.

I'm watering tonight. This is the start of week 5, and I'm feeding some beneficials tonight. In the tank tonight was:
  • Therm-X70 Yucca / Brix
  • Rootwise enzymes and bio-phos microbes
  • Freeze Dried Coconut Water
  • Big 6 Micros
  • BuildABloom Bloom booster
  • AgSil16H (Silica)
  • Ful-Power (Fulvic Acid)
Plus
  • I fed Neptune's Harvest 1 last time just because those tops still look a little stressed a few days after raising that light. I won't feed it again after this.
  • I top dressed some Kashi Blend
She's being fed at the moment at about 2 minutes watering 10 minutes waiting for 10 % her volume on a feed night. So at 15 gallons of living soil she will drink 1.5 gallons of aerated bene solution tonight. I say aerated just because I'm using my tea setup to mix with as I add ingredients and I let it bubble for a few before I pour in my tank. Does this help? I have no idea but it's easier than stirring. If I feed much faster than this I will have worms that will suicide to their death rather than drown.

Since this is her only feed of the feed week, and the only time I'm going to water 10% volume, I tend to let her go 2 days without water before this because I'm going to get some run off from this. Other nights I'll only water about 5% with just water + Therm-X70, and on those nights I don't really care about run off. I'm basically just keeping things wet and keep her topped off with juice. She's drinking pretty heavy at this point. The Therm-X has been in pretty much every watering of this plants life just because it's pretty good at hydrating 15 gallons of soil, and I have enough of the stuff to water planet Earth.

Same thing again.. is that a Cal Mag deff or what it is?

No, those tops were within about 6 inches of the light because I was trying to keep a bit of light penetration into the canopy even though I over vegged and over grew the light. So, I knew better, but I'm new to LEDs and they feel so cool compared to what I'm used to ya know? Anyway I noticed some light bleaching, some curl, and some spotting so I raised the lights and once again I'm nursing her a bit. I've made a lot of mistakes on this plant, but I haven't grown in years and I'm learning new gear so I'm not giving myself too hard of a time 😆

Thanks for stopping by!
