Welcome to ICmag LILHIP

For easy rodent control, get a cat. Or you can put down traps or small guage fencing around the perimeter. If there were such a thing as a spray on application that would stop mice/rodent infestation, the person that invented it would be mega-rich.

Good luck

Even cats and dogs eats MJ, I saw posting to that affect :biglaugh:

You are going to have a problem with hight, especially with a MH light which need 1 ft distance from the plant top, may suggestion is to grow only Indica strain, train them and brun them so they don't grow high.

Cheers

You could let off a few bug bombs first before using the area?
And just give it a good general clean.

hey LILHIP, im growin under a bldg and it also has a dirt floor(ive built a 2X4 frammed floor, and frammed in walls for 2 rooms) and a local grower is in the same set up but his walls are black plastic and mylar, with a gravel floor. he just stapled the plastic and mylar to the floor joists and let it hang a few feet longer than the distance to the floor and covered it in gravel works real well.

for mice and rodents, set out poisen away from the grow but in the area. those decon pellets work fine. spidermites, you can buy predator mites, which do a damn good job, you just have to spot the mites early. I use neem treatments regular, every two weeks up to the 3rd or 4th week of flower.

heres the bitch...dependin were your located, hopefully not anywhere with a high humidity. you will get to deal with what I call the Underground Dankness. its humid more so than the outside is and there is that musty grave type smell.
very good ventilation, max air circulation is a must in this type of enviorment. this is the reason I built a wood floor and rooms, as to have a area I could control. out in the open basement, you would need some big equipment to keep it the right temp and such.

wrappin a area in plastic, a fan which moves the plants around and a simple hole as a passive in, cut in the plastic and a blower up high suckin out. dependin on the size of the sealed area would determine what size blower to use. a few plants, small area and one of the 4" inline duct fans would work fine. duck tape, some balin wire and you would have a decent start:D

any other ?s lmk
