So, I have not started anything yet (mostly because I want to do this properly): I have seen conflicting information regarding what type of soil to use (Miracle Grow, Fox Farm, etc.). What is my best choice or how much does it really matter?

Your soil matters a lot actually, MG wouldn't be bad soil if it didn't come with time release ferts... which work great for house plants but not OUR kind of plants, foxfarm does make great soil.. you cant go wrong, a lot of ppl tend to mix the fox farm soils into a blend... I personally use sunshine mix 4(soiless)@$40 a bale with 2-3 bags of happy frog or ocean forest@$20ish a bag to make it stretch, the shinshine mix 4 is mainly peat. And a shitload of perlite.. add the beneficials of the fox farm soils and you got your self a very good draining nutritious soil mix... basically what your after.

Several of my SR's have pistils popping up all over the place, The AKR's are growing quickly but no pistils yet. Ill post pics when lights come back on.

Against the good advice of others, although I am using miracle grow, I still continue feeding noots by foxfarm on the SR and AKR. Im just using water on the PC for now.

Just an update, this morning I noticed some of my AKR's are sexing pistils which means they are right on track with my short riders to be done start to finish in around sixty days. yay!!! i cant wait. but its worth the wait.

then: Create New Album
then: upload pic's from your computer
you should be able to post pic's to your post from your album

Good news to share, all 9 of my SRs are flowering. And all 11 of the AKRs are flowering. I have noticed that the SRs put off alot more skunky smell than the other breeds I am growing. It smells rightous already, pics to be posted soon.

If you can afford it, go grab another 600w to add to your space.

Plants love light, and you don't want it to be a limiting factor!
