1st grow in Foxfarm soil

Thanks, yeah I was wondering if I should’ve added anything to the FF soil. The happy frog I used in seedling stage and when I took them from 1 gal pots to 5 gal pots I used the Ocean Forest for the growth and Flower stage. I didn’t add any nutes until 3 rd week and now we’re almost at 5 weeks and it seems like my buds are not developing like I think they should, plus the burnt leaves and worrying it was the humidity , so I put in so dehumidifier and I still can’t get it below 50% humidity. So I was thinking maybe one of those portable AC units for air exchange maybe that would dry air out and help the plants. But a few weeks back my plants looked much greener. Knock on wood haven’t had any nats since very first two weeks, no bugs so I’m trying everything. I went with those wick feed watering reservoirs that those grow bags can draw water from the bottom instead of watering all the time from top and bringing were topsoil into play. But I thought those gal.resi’s under the plant was the cause of the humidity. so I put an outside reservoir with water pump and timer so to water when needed and still humidity hasn’t come down enough for my liking. Maybe now that the east coast is starting to get s little cooler maybe it will get better. I just don’t want budrot and I figure if humidity is at 35/45 I should be good? As long as the plants leave start getting better Color.

thanks for the response I was starting to think my first grow was going to be a complete failure 😣 and I guess there’s still time for me to fuck it up. But I keep trying, and I hopefully am trying the right things to correct issues. I figured with all the experienced growers here I can hopefully learn and aspire to have beautiful plants.

Go for ph a little higher. Nutrient buildup usually causes ph drop in the soil, so avoid any low ph additions until you measure the runoff from your next watering if your setup allows.

Thanks for the help.

Well I checked my run off a few days ago and it was ph of 5.2, so not sure if that’s considered low but I figured I’d raise it to see if it helps. So after I flushed during the next watering I just raised the water up the ph to 10 figuring with the soil at around 4/5 it might raise the ph in soil to maybe 8? So now only a wait and see if plants respond. Only be a few days the leaves still look burnt, but I’ll give it a week or two and see if theres any noticeable change. The light is around 16” above highest point so I would doubt the light is doing any of the burning. It all seems to be this damn Foxfarm soil. It started with the seedlings in the happy frog and then continued when I transplanted from 1 gal pots to 5gal pots and used the ocean forest soil. It seems to me like their sol is just hot when it comes to their mix. Maybe I just received a crazy batch? I’m wondering when I start my next grow which will be an auto flower if I should use this same soil as maybe this last grow might bring this soil to where it should be to grow decent plants? Your thoughts…
