Tried to sum it up as best I could in the title. In anticipation of the vote Tuesday I pulled the trigger on Bodhi Apollo 11 seeds...

I don't have any experience but have been pouring over threads here and a couple other sites so I have at least some idea of what is realistic.

Facts

I have an attached single car garage and it is in northeast ohio so it gets pretty cold.

Going with soil to keep things simple.

I am on a budget but intend to do this for a while and wouldn't be opposed to splurging on something if it will make a big difference or help long term.

Questions

Build or buy a box? Which would be easier/cheaper to winterproof?Shooting for 4x5x7.5 to 5x6x8.

Scrog or LST knowing there will be males? How much space if I want to pop all 22?

Which light is best for what I am going for?

Ventilation ideas for cold garage?

Careful about condensation on the window - if there's a window.

Sort of a give-away that something interesting is happening in the garage.

Maybe a 400 watt MH for veg. & 600 watt HPS for flowering. The heat from the 400 watt can help warm the space, I would have the light on when it's cold, and off from noon to 6 (thinking that's when the outside temps are highest.)

There is also a concern about "thermal signature" - if someone (like a cop) looks at your space with an Infrared cop tool, does it glow like a Christmas tree ? Not good.

I understand wanting to use the garage. Just some concerns about keeping it stealth. That also affects the choice of strain. I would avoid stinky strains, even though they are some of the most interesting.
