Ahh, I have Penn's blood meal myself, decent stuff thus far. I'll have to double check around the next time I'm at the store, and compare the different brands of epsom, see what brand has extra what in it.
I'm thinking it's not the "home use" epsom that has that in it, but "gardening" epsom....Considering most folks use "home use" epsom, I'm willing to bet that's where the difference lies.

I think a certain brand does contain sulfer? I dont use that shit so I cant be sure. I hate epsom salt. I think molasses is much better. But thats just me.

Again I'm no expert but I think sulfur is beneficial to your plants overall health. I mixed in some of the epsom salt in my soiless mix. I also use molasses late in flower.

Yeh I got it in the garden section. 7lb bag. But I've also seen epsom salts for home use at cvs that contain sulfur.

I like bottled liquid nutrients... because they contain everything a plant will need... you don't ever get deficiencies :)

I gotta ask ya Keger, who the hell told you to water like that?
Or did you think of that by yourself? Get a good book... and follow it like a bible... don't make up your own ways... and don't listen to other people... just get a book.

Alienweed,
Thanks for the informative response. I read the idea in an article in high timees. April issue 2007, the article was called "Let's get Growin' Now". Like i said i tried something different and it didnt work. Thanks every one for the help. Ill keep everyone updated. Maybe i read the article wrong, if someone else reads it and gets something else out of it, please post your thoughts.

looks under ferted caused by too much plain water flushing of soil.. gonna have to work fast to save these babies.

Needs
a good nute with Ph ajusting, canna, hygen, dutch master, dutch fest are some ive used and will work.

in 500ml cups under hps id water no more than 75ml of nute solution into each cup daily, if under flouros alittle less. your going to need to start the feeding low and rthen increase keeping in mind plants are stressed atm so dont push them too hard.

1/6 to 1/4 of bottles recomended dose should do the trick for this fiirst week, At a low dose like this the PH ajusting abilitys wont fully lower Ph to the ideal range if you have Ph test kit and acid down could lower but if not take your chances should sit around 6.2 at 1/4 canna dose. If in a couple of week everythins green and healthy start to increase the fert.

having the similar problem

having the similar problem

My seedlings look very similar to his plants. My girlfriend has crazy thyroid problem, and then put on the AC hard this morning, and it's 35 deg here in the Northeast. Came back from work and it's 58 deg F in the room. But the night before, there were starting to wilt before the temp drop, now it's worse. The soil is a little moist, as I have been watering every 3-4 days, and watered yesterday. Never ferted them yet, and it's been about 20 days. They are about the same size as his. Should I not water, or water a little and fert them? Can I buy a green thumb at Lowe's or Home Depot?

First of all i would like to thank HazeToker and every one else that replied to my post. I waited a couple days and let them dry out and then gave them a shot of the tea that i mentioned above. My babies are doing real well now. They are now almost 28 days old. The over watering really set them back a week but i think they are bouncing back nicely. Heres what they look like now. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks guys, ill keep you up dated.
Post pics tomorrow....

Haze, notice he also claims Epsom provides sulfur, too (*cough* bullshit *cough*) Last time he mentioned Epsom, he said to use it for an MG deficiency that didn't exist.

Which is it, Sprout? Epsom (aka MG) for MG deficiency, or MG as sulfur? Can't be both.

Frickin' idiot, man, I swear.....
Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. It also contains 7 water molecules. (MgSO4 7H2O) It is about 10% magnesium and 13% sulfur. Pro growers not only use epsom for a source of mag but also a source of sulfur. Potassium sulfate, calcium sulfate, and sulfuric acid as a ph down would all also be suitable sulfur sources. Remember, sulfur is a macronutrient needed in large quantities. Got it Niki?

I wouldnt go as far as calling growers who use epsom salt pros. Infact most nutes have more than enough mag and sulfur. I know pros who run greenhouse's and the only time the epsom comes out is when they are making there own nutes. Not using it as a supplement to store bought nutes. And that is what we are dealing with here. people use store bought nutes right? So if they get ph levels right most of the time the plant will have what it needs. I have had the best luck with my plants by simply giving very little to them. No def's as long as ph is correct I have never had problems minus a few certain strains that need cal/mag. Got that sproutco?
