yes, buying one and then knocking it off is an option or having it displayed on the web would just make it easier for those looking to do that.
It's unclear to me-what you are asking. Sorry- I am not well versed...

Burt, mine showed up today but I'm in the process of moving my grow to another location. I will look at mine tonight, if by taking it apart voids my warranty I refuse to do so just for you. If however, I get some spare time and nothing keeps me from removing a few screws I will gladly show you how it looks.

I believe it's made in the USA too :joint:

. Wow youre damn fast i deleted this cuz i thought i was sticking my nose in it, it seems like i did, sry maing, didnt mean to sound harsh ;) im just a bit high :D May i add to this, that this is NOT her vendor forum, its a grow diary, its just been skewed by so many of us peeps for info on her products we/you should be in here http://www.icmag.com/ic/forumdisplay.php?f=65640

LED Girl. I have to admit when I read the first page I was very skeptical but I think your donating the units to be independently tested was a good show of your faith in the product.

I am not likely to replace my HID's but I would definately think about a few to start another room and run some tests of my own.

Eds buddies put their lights way to high. Who knows why. I hope the members who got your units put their best efforts into the test and if your claims are true youll be vindicated.

And sorry for some of the harsh comments. I am just as skeptical as many but found alot of posts down right rude. I will wait and see for myself. Until then members should try disagree without such animosity. Best of luck in your endeavors.

Quite honestly, I'm amazed that Ed's friend would use those GlowPanels so damn high above the plants, unless he's trying to rig the comparison... Seems quite fishy to me, being that they aren't even .2W LED's in that thing.

I've read through most of your threads and haven't found an answer to this question. I'm not sure if it's been asked, but this seems like a good place to ask it.

What is the distance from the plants to the 400w metal hallide in those photographs?

Actually, if the information that I've asked for isn't available, I won't buy one. LEDgirl is in the business of selling these things. I guess she can decide how much information she's willing to provide to potential customers. If the answer is no, I can understand. So far the answer has been that she doesn't have time, yet she seems to have plenty of time to spend on her marketing efforts here.

My company makes a proprietary electronic instrument that is encased in epoxy, specifically to keep it from being pirated/re engineered. All it would take for those in the know is a quick visual, pre-epoxy. That alone would put this end of our business under.

I'd personally never show the secrets of my trade. If a customer buys one and takes it apart, so be it. There are patent laws to help that end.

Thank you for pointing that out. This is my GROW JOURNAL specifically, and I do not have any moderator abilities here. My LED forum is for most of the questions that I've been asked in this thread, but hey whatever lol, I answer them 10x a day anyhow, might as well do it here too right?

The MH was at 24". The LED was at 10", so a 14" difference when using 1W diodes vs a 400W High Intensity Light Source, crammed into a 15" x 15" space lined in mylar. If the HID was even 6" closer, the plants would have died from the heat. It was a SIMPLE light to light test, not a light vs light + glass + fan + ducting + a hole in the wall demonstration. I also won't perform any of these sorts of tests personally, as members on forums such as this do a much better job at it, while not getting the flack. So I really don't need to hear another "that's so unfair" comment right now, as again, it was a simple light to light test, nothing else.

You must have assumed it wasn't a serious question.

Maybe you should have assumed that I am a potential customer?

That aside, it sounds as if you're now describing it as a light to light heat test and that your product is the winner.

original post replaced...since it is quoted here anyway...

However, I'm not an idiot and on your website it looks and read like a side by side, full on, grow comparison.

Hey LEDgirl... all of the haters have definitely swayed my opinion!

Whereas before I had no opinion, now I am in your corner and expect your product to meet with success. I hope it's up to the task of cooking large quantities of crow for these people because I'm rooting for it to succeed. :smoke:

Remember that new ideas always meet resistance, but also that good ideas always catch on. No matter what. If you've got it nailed down, you'll be successful in the end. I think the testers you've picked are up to the task of being impartial and objective, and I am truly interested in their conclusions. I've tagged Sleepy's grow and I'll be checking the others from time to time. Good luck!

I assumed it was a serious question, but what nearly always happens after I respond, is the "well that's not fair" crap, regardless of if you're a potential customer or not (everyone is). It was not a light to light heat test at all, if that was the case I would have had them both at the same height and showed the metal halide killing plants. Instead, the plants were at about 85 degrees constantly under the HID, and 80 under LED, as the metal halide was higher to ensure it didn't kill the plants. No one seems to care that the MH has 4-5x the ability of our LED's to carry light energy over long distances, or the fact it uses over 3x the power while being surrounded in mylar, but hey y'all need to come up with some excuse for why that 126W light kicks ass. So this is the last comment I'll make regarding that test, as it has nothing to do with my grow journal, and I'm sick of arguing with this person or that person over semantics. These kinds of questions are for PM's or email...

wow LEDgirl
i am quite disappointed at many of the members on this sites approach to engaging you in any sort of questioning or battering. it is a shame that many people cant just sit back and observe and opinionate to themselves or friends without having to get jabbs in at your expense and time.
thankfully most of the negative comments are from newer members that dont have much to show themselves if anything at all. no albums worth looking at or talking about. and def nothing of true weight to teach anyone on the site. no donors, supporters, mentors, mods, or long time members like myself( 3 years, lurking for 5) are enjoying the nonsence taking place each day.
i just want to remind you that there are several wonderful members here on IC who appreciate the work, the support of the site, and your tolerance of all the negativaty. your skin is thicker than most( a great trait for success hehe) and I wish you the best in way of responces made to you. no person deserves constant bombardment. especially someone who IS helping make things possible around here for the rest of us.
thanks and i hope the rest of you negative commentors can save it for after the tests and just see if ya still have anything left to say good bad or indifferant. this is not the place. lets be adults here please.
