150w HPS Club and Resource Guide......

I used to grow Serious Seeds bubblegum under a 150. Two clones, scrog style, in a small hollowed out dresser (something like 24" x 16" footprint with about 36" useable height on the inside), and consistently averaged about 4 ounces. The lowest yield I ever got out of that cab was 3.7 ounces, and that was because I was going through a heatwave at the time. I almost always always got just about exactly 2 ounces per clone.

Now, it was a high yielding pheno, so that helped me out of course, but I didn't even fill up the entire screen, ever, so if I really tried I could have gotten probably 4.5 ounces easy. It's pretty easy to get .75 gram per watt with a 150w as long as you keep the light close, and scrog that shit.

Thanks bro... i think I'll try it out very soon... how do you guys think a Half Scrog/ Half Non Scrog would work?

I wanna Scrog but I also need to do some personal pollen chucking... and some testing that wouldn't work well under the scrog I don't think...

^There's no reason why you can't "paint" a few selected buds in your scrog with some pollen. No reason why that should stop you at all.

Yeah I'm interested in this too... from what I've garnered it seems that ~3.5oz is approx what some of the more experienced guys are pulling. No doubt some people have pulled more on occasion tho.

Soursmoker, one of my recent Sea of Green clone runs with nycd x sd yielded on average .66 grams per watt in 1 gallon pots. That was my first flowering cycle in 10 years ... I was using 2 150w hps lights, organics, plain water, and lots of love. With dialing and a medium yielding strain I see no problems getting close or past 1 gram per watt ...

im surprised that the ppollinated plants under the 150 actually look dank pretty trichd up

sadly my 150 died the other night and instead replacing I decided it is just time to upgrade! peace guys! I might replace my bulb and still mess around with it!

anyone else have problems with C.A.P all in one 150w HPS fixture? I should have remote ballasted it... prob would have lasted longer...

@sour: I'm not very experienced, but I'd go SCROG or VSCROG for 1gpw, doing a carpet or a barrel - better have a genetics you know well to start nice, too. PS> nice pics on this very thread about 150W 1gpws - this almost got me started on this bulb

I am deff replacing my bulb to still play around with! for breeding and veg purposes... anyone on here remote ballast their all in one fixtures? any good guides?

@sour: here in EU I could only find remotely ballasted ones.
I've seen good guides here and on RIU about remote-ballasting security flood lights or sonlight integrated bulb/reflector/ballast. Sorry I don't have links atm but they're widely available if i recall well

I just received my 150w HPS and should get the cab built in the next week or so (time permitting). I am going for a very similar sog setup with 8 plants around a barebulb hung vert. Nice and simple and effective. If i get 10g per plant I'll be stoked.

Critical - Royal Queen Seeds

Cheap strain with very heavy effect and it is easy to grow.
Growed in secret jardin DS-60, under 150hps and 2x25w cfl.
Feeded with all the biobiz stuff.

can someone explain this to me alittle better? the wattage and distance and lumens i understand, but footcandles, they are basically 1:1 with lumens right?
so at 4 inches you get 45thou something footcandles, on a 150 watt bulb that only tosses out 16000 lumens?
not trying to troll, im reading from start to finish before i officially join the club.
still have a WAYS to go

hey guys, got my 150w hps waiting to be picked up tomorrow, no more dumpy cfl's

unfortunatly using cfls for the whole grow (it was my first) super stunted my no smell lady.
luckily i snagged a couple clones, and one actually made it.
not sure how far along i am, but no seeds and no smell, small, but it looks good for my first.
3 40watt cfls, 2700k, 2 23w 6500k and thats it.
id post a picture but not too sure about that.

9 plants in here started with 15 .
12/12 all the way.
i do lollypopping .
growroom is 50 cm x 70 cm x 125 cm .
when they flowered for 3 weeks i had them in the dark for 6 days (holiday ).
they went in a kind of reveg .
i think thats the reason they take so much longer .
i harvest about 80 to 90 grams every round with this 150 watts closet .

Hey whats up Warlock? i was reading your post.good luck with your grow.get us some pics in here so we can see what you're up to.i also noticed you had a problem with smells - the bad thing is some plants just don't have much of a strong odor in the first place.my experiance no matter what kinda light you use the smell doesnt change much,although a strong healthy plant will be better than a neglected plant that is having trouble. so try to sprout a few strains untill you find one with traits you like.Like i said Good luck and send us some pic of your proggress

hey i havent harvested said non stinky bud, BUT it looks sick (not much, but whats there looks ill)
if it comes out as being good, ill be glad i have this clone, no smell isnt always bad as ive recently read.
